With fairways that wind through groves of hardwoods and pines, around ponds and alongside acres of wetlands, the Oaks Golf Club provides one of the most unforgettable golfing experiences on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The striking par-72 layout is highlighted by strategic bunkering, dramatic green complexes and a meandering routing and creates a serene and tranquil golf experience. Designed by Dr. Gil Morgan, the 18-hole public golf course that opened in 1998 measures 6,885 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 131 and a 72.5 USGA rating.
Throughout its history, the Oaks has received numerous awards and accolades, including being honored by Golf Digest as one of the Top Ten Courses in Mississippi, voted as the Best Course on the Coast by readers of Coast Magazine and selected as the 2003 "Golf Course of the Year for the Mississippi Gulf Coast " by the National Golf Course Owners Association.
The Oaks Golf Club has challenged some of the top players in the country as a former host of Nike Tour/Buy.com events (now the PGA Tour's Nationwide Series) in 1999 and 2000 and having played host to the first stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School in 2003.

Very poor service and other than the cart girls not very friendly
If you pay more than $25 for a round you are paying too much. It just not at the level of the higher end courses around the state
Great condition
The golf gorse was in perfect condition. The greens were the best I've played on all year.
HOT HOT HOT
The course was in terrific shape seeing how hot it was, I have been to a few other courses on the coast and they are having problems with the heat but not at The Oaks, the greens were in great shape.
Excellent Course
Excellent Course, but the marshal is a bit temperamental. He threatened to throw us off of the course for driving on the fairways. I was not advised that it was cart path only and the holes that I drove the carts on were not marked and in excellent condition (I only made it through two holes). I wish he would have handled the situation a little differently. Yelling and threatening your customers is not a way to earn business.
Great course, The Oaks.
One of the nicest courses in the area. Wooded fairways rewarded accurate tee shots. Greens were excellent and rolled well. Good pace of play. Not very busy at 2 pm on a Saturday in July.
This is the course to play in the MS Gulf Coast!
Best greens I have played in the area, and the tight fairways and tough greens provide enough challenge but fun enough for anyone to play.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Gem
Generally in great condition. I last played the Oaks on January 3rd after attending the Sugar Bowl. The weather was cold and the course was still wet after several days of rain. I was amazed at how well it drained and the excellent shape it was in. The greens were moderately fast but fair and the fairways were still in fine shape even though the Bermuda was dormant and not growing, The Oaks is certainly a must play in the Mississippi Gulf coast area.

The golf course was in excellent shape, even after a lot of rain from a few days before. Very good layout. Fun course to play.
