Mystic Dunes Golf Club

Course is in decent shape compared to what the recent reviews Mentioned. Tee boxes were fine, fairways were fine with some bare spots, but greens were a bit slow and some had patches. Pace of play was great since we passed a group on the turn and no one was in front or behind. Fair rate for the condition it’s in.

Fairways were in very poor condition. Many areas were burnt out and the areas that weren’t were basically hard-pack.

Challenging. Tough pin placements. Made for a good day and a different experience.

This course has en awsome layout. I love it!

Give this course time and water, the fairways will be good in the future. Then ist this course a 5 star.

2 years ago it was bad, now its going to be a nice one.

I was excited to play the course but was pretty disappointed in its shape. Huge patches of bare spots in the fairways and dead chunks on the greens. For the money, much better courses to play in the area.

I’ll start off by saying I have never written a review of any golf course I’ve ever played but after playing this place I feel obligated lol. If I can save one person from playing this place it’s worth my time. Staff is awesome, starters great, bartender super friendly and very accommodating. That’s where the positives end. This place is a literal cow pasture with Disney Fantasia mini golf greens. (Although those are way better) There is hardly any grass on this golf course ( grass is kind of essential). Several greens have huge areas under repair ( or attempts at least) where sod is just thrown down 2 inches higher then the rest of it and sand just piled on it. I wish I took pictures but we just couldn’t be bothered. Tee boxes are awful! 50% dirt/mud 50% weeds. The pin placements! . Whoever cuts these cups must be a miserable &$&@ who just gets off on trying to ruin peoples day. He/she thinks they are cutting cups and placing pins at Augusta on a Sunday. Funny I read all the negative reviews and the responses are all the same. Trying to do this, trying to do that, this is because of this , this is because of that. The real story seems to be they don’t care, they don’t listen and they don’t change ! Stay away from this place at all costs. Wayyyy to many good courses in the area at the same price point to give this pasture a go.

I don’t know what happened to this course but it was in horrible condition . This used to be one of my favorite courses but definitely off my list .. at least for a while. Fairways lacked grass and alot of greens for terrible . Prices did drop but still worth the price!

Pro shop and restaurant morning staff are surly Greens are in awful shape and some tee boxes in poor condition. They encourage you to order food and drink before the run on their cart but it’s not ready when you finish 9. Range balls were dirty.

Greens are fast and challenging, most are in great shape. A couple have some issues. Fairways in great condition.

Course has potential but current condition, fairways and greens does not command the green fees you charge!!!

I played this golf course back in December and really enjoyed it. The conditions were really good. The greens and fairways were both immaculate in December. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same thing about this trip. The fairways were half grass and the greens were horrible. I’ve never seen so many Hole plugs on a green in all my life. I’m not sure if they did it to replace dead grass or just every time they move the Pin it never grew back. There was like 30 on every hole. It didn’t help that the Pynn placements were in the most extreme positions and some of the greens were absolutely unable. I wouldn’t recommend this course again to anyone. Hope this helps.

Played here 4-5 weeks ago, place was immaculate. Not the case this week.. tee boxes were bad, and the greens were atrocious. Fungus infecting the greens, huge cut patches on several greens in multiple spots with new sod. Normally we love playing Mystic.. but we’ll be taking a break for now until the maintenance/upkeep issue is sorted.

First-time at MD. Pace of play was great. Putting was a challenge with their undulating greens. Enjoyed every hole. Will return next year.

Course layout was great, starter and bag drop attendant very friendly and helpful. However, I thought the course was a little scruffy with some seriously damaged sections on a number of greens. Because of this, I didn’t think it was great value for money.

I played this course in December and can’t believe the course conditions. They were substandard at best. Bare fairways and terrible green conditions. The last time I reviewed this course I was pleasantly surprised. Though the greens are some of the most undulating I have ever played, the last time I didn’t find it an issue. This trip the pin placement on some holes made the greens unplayable. I have never seen so many previous hole plugs on a green. You could easily count 30 on every hole. I can only assume they were patching holes (but did a terrible job) it’s a shame how bad the conditions were as I took my family there this time based on my December visit. The only up side was the starter was a nice friendly guy. That’s the only positive. I would not recommend this course.

Aside from some fairly good greens, everything else is a rats nest. Do not play this until they give up-to-date photos of their tea boxes fairways, and everything around every green repaired. This course like many others in Central Florida are absolutely horrible. Disappointing to say the least.
