Average at best

in terms of grades:

Fairways: D, (with the dry winter, and apparently no fairway sprinklers, the fairways were dry and dusty, with little grass).

Tees: D, The tees were really beat-up.

Greens: B, Any watering of the course looks like it was saved for the greens...so they were in decent shape.

Basically, it's a weekend hackers' course. The layout was uninspiring, and the course was in pretty poor shape overall. The drought certainly was a factor, but even with rain, I wouldn't play here again.

Great Greens! That's all

The greens at Tatum Ridge are excellent. The rest of the course needs a lot of TLC. Some sand traps ok, others like a river bottom. Tee boxes generally all poor. Fairways ok. No beverage cart on a day where a foursome teed off every 8-9 minutes. Pace of play was ok (4:15) for such a packed course.

SLOOOW

Very dry (drought conditions). Tees very rough, fairways dry, greens were quite good, considering. Staff was great. Pace of play extremely slow. 5+ hour round. No rangers.

Tatum Ridge - great layout & value

Played here about 5-6 times over the years while in Siesta Key. Great layout and staff is very friendly.

Never disappoints. Pace of play was 4 1/2 but that is expected during peak winter time.

Highly recommend and use GolfNow and save $$&

Nice course for the money

Love the layout design and hope they continue to put money into the course. The greens are excellent, fairways are getting there but tees and sand traps still need work. Overall, great value at $60 for 18.

Good Greens

The greens were the best part of the course. The tee boxes not so much. The sand traps had not been raked prior to play for the day and need more sand.

Tatum Ridge-has potential

The course is open and driver friendly but needs love in regards to course condition. Several tee boxes need to be stripped and sodded. Greens generally in good condition- wouldn’t mind a touch more speed.

Horrible

Tee time done online , yet they took it upon themselves to move me to another later tee time. Course was a dog track. One of the worst I’ve ever played. Not worth $86 that’s for sure.

Great relaxation course

The course is beautiful. It flows nicely with enough challenge for fun but not to the point of difficult or stressful. Truly an enjoyable time

Horrendous

Course is in terrible shape. Its a dirt path full of weeds. Dead trees and bushes. No upkeep. Just horrible.

Same course different course

I played this course a few years back after the big hurricanes. The course now has several less trees than it did before, and has seen big changes. This now makes the course layout more challenging because it is hard to see the fairway layouts, but less “tree trouble” for slicers. The pace of play was slower than expected- 5+ hour round on a busy Thursday. The layout is good, with lots of variety in length, doglegs, etc. There are also several tee boxes for several skill levels. The greens are fast and challenging (but fun). The biggest negative is the starter, John, he is a jerk. I’m also not a fan of the “pre-pay online only” process for tee times - there is a lack of customer service when you call for questions. But once you’re on course playing, and don’t have to talk to staff, the course is fun.
