Bent Tree Country Club

sand traps need better sand & AM raking. FL is in a watering restriction, thus fairways were dry. Greens were in good condition.

In the area for my son’s high school spring break. Our plans that day got canceled so we decided to book a round at the last minute.

The round was a “tale of two cities.” The pace of play and conditions on the front were terrible. Sand tee boxes, burned out fairways and bumpy greens. Backed up on every shot - even replayed a hole or two until groups caught up to us.

The back 9 was lovely. The course was in much better shape and, apparently, a few groups dropped off at the turn.

The practice/warmup area was lacking. 2 nets to hit into for full shots (mats were hard as concrete) with tiny chipping area and small practice putting green.

I understand that there has not been much rain in the area lately. But, I would return just to play the back 9.

People are walking their dogs through the course, others fishing for balls in the ponds, bikes and scooters bombing up and down the cart paths, etc..

Beverage cart often has drinks sitting in semi-cool water (no ice) and service stops at 4.

Management has a very poor handle.

Course staff was excellent. Conditions were good. Pace was slow but I think that was only the group in front of us. Definitely going to play again.

Overall a good course with nice greens. There were definitely some issues with tee boxes and a few fairways but the rest of the course was in good shape. Very pleasant staff to greet us and the cart beverage service was well stocked. The course has great potential to be a hidden gem in the area.

The back 9 of this course is in better shape than the front 9 we played last week. The sandtraps are poor to fair..

Down from Dublin, OH @ Anna Maria. For my wife and I it was fine. Great staff in clubhouse and outside to pick up clubs. Got there early and the starter let us go off as a twosome. Pace was great. Tee boxes a little rough, and a few places in the fairway the same. but the greens rolled true. Nice time and no pressure to enjoy and have a great round. Thanks so much!

Front side tee boxes need lots of work. Course is fun to play. Back side much nicer. One of the friendliest staffs I’ve ever known especially the starters!
