Keeps getting better
Very impressed with the greens and speed, as well as the overseeded Tees. Clearly, the folks there are making a difference and a commitment to improving.
Pro Shop and Snack bar staff very cordial as well.
Only negative concerns sand bunkers. While they look great when to look at the excellent grooming, the sand is a thin disguise of some very hard compacted subsurface. A couple of dozen bunker rakes would be nice to augment the spartan/broken inventory.

I Recommend This Course
This used to be run by the county. It was sold and the new owners are not keeping up with it. There is one person at check. Don't know if they are trying to make "church pews" or not but there is plenty of grass in the sand trap. The layout is good but they are charging too much.

The storm hit us pretty hard and we have been working hard to put a lasting effort in that will last to prevent future storms from leaving the course in the shape Harvey and Maria did. This is a municipal course that is up for sale. Always love playing this course. Usually not crowded at all. It’s worth the drive.

Slow play
Went off as a twosome at1:00pm and was unable to finish the round before one of the cart guys came around at 5:55 and told us the course was closed and we needed to return the cart immediately. We waited at every single t box on the back nine.

Very annoying playing here. Didn’t even finish due to the fact that their was a six some in front of us. Asked to play through and was told no by the old grouchy people with their wife’s. Took almost 4 hrs for 16 holes.

Going downhill
I have played this course many times over the past 7 years. Since the new management company took over, it has steadily gone downhill. The greens are still in pretty good shape. Tee boxes, sandtraps are not attended to. Fairways are OK, but heavy rains have taken a toll. Yardage markers could use repainting. A real shame - this used to be a really fun course to play.

Your feedback about the tee boxes and sand traps is important to us. Believe it or not, these are some of the hardest areas to maintain at the course because they see such heavy play and are easily influenced by the weather. With the hurricanes and heavy rain, we have been working nonstop to recover the course. The bunkers have seen the worst of it because it requires us to dry them out and retile each completely. The project is ongoing and we appreciate your patience as we finish. We hope you can give us another chance to show you an excellent experience. Thanks for playing The Habitat Golf Course.

The course has been in better condition
The course has some very wet areas. There are limited yard markers, or they are not just not visible. The green were in good shape. When we asked to go off as a 2 some we were told no, that there were too many foursomes following us. Next thing we know, there is a 2 some waiting behind us on every hole. I would not pay full price for this course.
