Happy Golfer
Although we had some casual water, course was in pretty good condition. Will certainly return.
I'm an old hat here because I used to work here' greens were good but a little slow probably because of the rain
Not bad but deteriorating conditions
Was playing as a single so they let me play back nine first. Finished total round in a shade over two hours even though cart path only. Have played this course over last several years when I visit family in the area. This area had been hammered by rain so conditions were what I expected.. very sloppy but mostly playable. My major concern is the expanding infestation of weeds in the fairway . The greens were slow but that was to be expected with all the rain. Bunkers were sort of playable but I was only in one fairway bunker so not sure about free side bunkers. The staff in Proshop and the starter were very accommodating in letting a single avoid the traffic on the front and reverse the nines. Will try to play later in the week and get a better idea about fairways.
Course management
Why is it the County doesn’t have more people working on the course? You go to any course in the county and you see a dozen workers maintaining the course you go to Habitate and you see one guy Pete is he getting paid that much that they used up there county payroll? You might be better off hiring a landscapeing company like Impact in Vero that has about 50 to 100 employees and have there own equipment think about it the county would save ten of thousands of dollars not having to maintain equipment or employees benefits and there fast and conscientious
Poor Course Conditions
The course wasn’t in good codifying eith water all over and some next hole directions not adequate
still a bit wet from irma
still wet from irma but pretty good shape staff has done a good job but snack bar closes way too early
Disappointed
The Habitat has always been my favorite place to play, but recently (last 2-3 months) the course conditions have decline to the point where it's not worth the effort nor time to play there. The greens, once the best in Brevard have been overrun with crabgrass and has gotten to the point where you have to get relief or your putts won't stay online. Tees are a mess and weeds have overtaken them. Fairways, once covered with bermuda are now dominated by crabgrass. It's a real waste of a fine track and one of the most serene golf course you will ever play!
I love the course but did not play
I did not play because the course was closed when I showed up. Golf Now should know and should not confirm nor charge if the course is CLOSED......PLEASE send me a credit to re-schedule my tee time or refund my fee, etc,
Nice layout
Nice course that I always enjoy. A little out of the way and that is what makes it special.Well maintained and challenging enough to be fun little thru till the last hole.Staff are great and conditions very good.Abundance of exotic birds join you every time for your round.
Will play again soon

Good Value
Course has changed hands recently. Fairways are fairly wide, but roughs are punishing.
A great value for the $$$. Not usually crowded
Nice track
I love Habitat's location, design, absence of homes surrounding the course, friendly staff, fairways, greens, even the rough, BUT, someday they have to look critically at their Tee Boxes and zero Bunker management. It is disheartening to love playing there until one gets up on the Tee full of a multitude of weeds, or one has to get out of a Green side Bunker without the Sand Wedge bouncing to an ugly conclusion. Hopefully, once Season starts, there is a plan to address these areas.
Cross your fingers.
This is a great layout in decline. The greens are still true but the standards have slipped below where the layout indicates they should be. The restrooms are dirty, the cut grass is clogging the fairways and they have no liquor license. It is still a fun to play course but has the potential to something special. Hopefully the new ownership bring the standards up.
Good trek thru the wildlands
Habitat is a good value. Decent conditions given the price and some interesting variety of holes in a natural, wildlife sanctuary envirionment. This is what golf is all about and the staff is very enlightened. I play here about once a month despite a 75 mile drive from Orlando each way. Worth it every time.
The greens
The overall course is in great shape. The only bad part is the greens are still in bad shape because of newly being punched.
