Good course to play.
GlenLakes is an enjoyable course to play. The fairways are generous and overall the greens were in good shape. This is a fair test of golf.
Enjoyable place
Nice course layout, well maintained all around the course Very friendly staff and when back in town will play this course again.
Greens destroyed
Terrible spots all over the greens . We’ve played here for years but gave it a break for a while. So many courses in this area recently satiated greens and theirs look great, but this course greens were terrible. Not worth it imo
Took 3hrs to play 10 holes, skipped 11 thru15, played 16,17 &18, Never saw anyone monitoring pace of play. Would have taken over 5 hrs to play
Good course for the money. A few greens are pretty bumpy.
Disappointed
I’ve played this course many times in the past but it’s been a couple years, the layout is really nice but conditions were terrible, the bunkers were unplayable, the tee boxes covered with weeds, and the greens were dreadfully slow, hopefully I caught them on an off day.
GREENS NEED TLC!!!
Fairways and Rough were NICE! Greens need some work - there was bald spots and invasive weed/patches that needed poisoning, sanding & fertilizer.
still a pleasure
I always go by myself and sometimes I play by myself, which is fine, but other times they pair me with someone else. I have yet to meet someone there that isn't a good partner for a round of golf.
Just love the game
Local knowledge is helpful to find a few fairways but overall most holes the landing zones were very inviting and greens were very receptive.Coarse was still a bit wet and you could tell they couldn’t cut the grass for a bit due to heavy rains earlier, preferred lies (muddy balls )Good 27 hole Course.
great value ans a must
i've played this course several times. it was my 6th time playing. don't compare this to kiva dunes. but for the value, it is better than kiva dunes. honestly the peninsula is better then kiva dunes. the fairways are nice. tee boxes okay but are getting neglected. the range is okay. the range balls need to be replaced. the short game facility is small. the practice green is large. the green speeds match the practice green.
the greens are in terrible shape. there must be a fungus or they are getting too much play.
you can tell they are not moving the hole location much because the hole lips and edges are worn. the greens are receptive and hold. not much scarring. but there are some burnt patches or just plain dead areas that i can only say are diseased.
would i play again, yes but only as a hot deal or early in the morning when i could be done early.
