Cypress Bend at The Craft Farms Resort

Excellent facility and course layout. Staff were very friendly. Course itself was nice and the greens rolled true. A bit over priced for golf during the winter. Overall, very nice.

The golf course was in great shape with soft green fairways & nice medium-fast greens. My tee time was at 2:30 & I played a 3 1/2 round. Staff was friendly like always & I will be playing the Cotton tomorrow.

The vibe of this course is great. I loved the clubhouse, pro shop and bar. Clubhouse has a farmhouse style vibe to it with a great views onto the course from the bar and restaurant. Pro shop is one of the most well equipped shops I’ve seen with unique gear to the course. Staff was the highlight, they really take care of you here. Everyone I dealt with was great. The course layout is fun, and challenging at the same time a lot of different types of looks. Played both the cypress and cotton course. I preferred cypress but both are in some of my favorites I’ve played.

Course was in good shape for February golf and after one pm rates were very reasonable.

Nice resort layout, greens well protected with traps, but fairways wide and forgiving, lots of water but not many forced carry’s. Greens very good easy to read.

Very good winter golf course

Foursome ahead got more than 20 min behind pace, before marshall chastised them. Then than that course played well. In good shape for mid-February. Grrens ran true enough. GPS on carts was new and a nice feature. Would play again.

Loved these courses.

Both in fantastic shape.

Cypress is harder (more traps, tougher greens).

Cotton creek is still very fun.

Layout was very fun.

Enough rolling hills to make adjustments on every shot.

Greens, like glass and no straight putts.

I always enjoy the Craft Farms courses. Greens were great and fairways in good condition.

The only drawback were the bunkers. The sand was so thin on top of hard packed earth that it was almost impossible for my foursome to hit explosion shots out of the bunkers, so after a few miss hits had to change and try to pick it clean

We paid 159 each and you had to literally pound the ball on 20 ft putts. Lucky if they rolled a 5 on meter. Played a couple courses in area and was in much much better condition. I would consider this a no next year.

We were trying to figure out what courses to play while down in Orange Beach and stumbled upon Craft Farms. The course is set in a gorgeous area and has 36 holes. We played Cypress Bend. Mind you that it had rained a ton over the past few days but the course seemed to handle it well. We were off path except for #10 and #11. Greens seemed soft and receptive but didn’t leave much of a pitch mark. I think that’s due to the Bermuda greens and the moisture. Overall, I think the course was in great shape. Only wish would be for faster and firmer greens. Pace of play was slow but the marshal came around a few times to keep them up to speed. Cart girls came around plenty of time. I think we played in around 4.5 hrs so I’m content. Would definitely play this and test Cotton Creek next time.

Course was in great condition, staff was very friendly and attentive even with the high temps. Course is a little pricier than some in the area, but is well maintained compared to the area.

Only complaint is the location, it takes some time to get there and back home. I played well so it was worth it!

Challenging but fair design.

Everything but on thing was awesome. The golf carts should be nicer for what you pay. 2 carts and no charging port worked. Also surprised no gps.

Golf shop check in was quick and efficient. Starter was friendly and helpful for first time visit to course. Was told that there were plenty of water and bathroom facilities on the course. In addition was told that cold towels were available at the turn and that beverage carts would be rotating on each nine holes. It was a hot day- after playing the first 12 holes and not seeing either a beverage cart or towel service I called the pro shop to inquire if they were having a staffing issue. I was assured that they were available- finally a cart showed up around hole 14 with a service rep with an attitude and essentially no inventory to help hydrate - I finished the round totally dehydrated. To sum it up the golf was okay but after considering the amount charged for the green fees and the lack of promised services I can not give a thumbs up for this course. Totally overpriced and overrated.
