They are losing the greens and areas around the greens. Pace play was extremely slow for this type course
I knew the had aerated, so that is not part of my judgment of the course.
Pace of play was dismal. This is a short, simple golf course. A Thursday in June should not be a four hour 45 minute round. We never saw a marshal. For that matter we never saw a cart girl or guy. Totally no reason for such slow play, EXCEPT the conditions.
The course must not drain, because 6 or 7 holes were cart path only. Played other area courses same week without this issue.
Most of the greens have an invasive weed growing right at the edges of the greens right where the fringe would have been if these weeds weren’t there. No way to put through this stuff
Review
Played lakes and vista. They had punched the greens. That is frustrating when it is a surprise. I would definitely give another try.
Greens aerated
The fairways and tee boxes were great
The greens were aerated and had goose grass on some, pin placements were ridiculous considering aeration, all were 10 ft from edge of green, note to greens keeper, we want to enjoy the round, this is not US Open
With that said I would still try the golf course again just not this Time of year
Couldn't have been better
My brother and I booked a tee time for 7:22am and upon arrival (7am) the marshal stated "whenever you're ready, have at it". 18 Holes, 2 Hours and 15 minutes, Not a cloud in the sky, never waited on a single shot. We were both really surprised the course wasn't that packed. I guess it was too hot for some.
Glenlakes
Three nine hole courses where they rotate two for your 18 hole experience. The starter understood the course and helped cater a round that kept the pace of play ideal. Three nine hole courses with distinct personalities. Fair and challenging. Would definitely go back.
Great Outing
Not bad for a mid day Saturday round of golf. The course is in great shape and we finished in 4 hours 15 minutes.
Favorite golf course to play when we are at the beach
Glenn Lakes is our favorite course to play when we are at the beach. We have played this course fo over 15 years. It's in great shape. Best value for a great course.
Review of Glenn Lakes Golf Course.
My golf cart had duck tape on the seat. The seat should be replaced. My wife did not play, but rode with me. I HAD TO $44.00 FOR HER TO RIDE ALONG IN MY CART AND I WAS PLAYING TWO OTHER PLAYERS. I had to pay for a cart fee and we did not use another cart. This was the last time we will play at Glenn Lakes.
