Nice Course
Nice little course with friendly staff and golfers alike. Great place to work on your short game if you miss the green!!!
Nice Course
Nice little course and friendly staff and people. Greens were just aerated and sanded so they play a little rough. Overall lots of fun and challenges
Short Game Training (except for putting)
It’s a nice little executive layout with very little in the way to make you lose your ball. The only thing that really never seems to be in great condition are the greens. They are at best running at an 8. They are very shaggy in the summer and even in season they don’t get much roll or break.
Aside from that the price is always a great value and the layout makes for a fun and easy round.
Short Course. Better be accurate.
Very fun course. Good for all type of players.
Only drawback was that the greens were small but rhe greens were slow compared to other tracks in the area
Good pace of play - didn't have to wait at any holes.
Luckily finished up shortly before the rains started. Nice course for intermediate player like me.
Best Golf Value in Fort Myers
I am not an expert golfer so take my views accordingly. The first hole is a strong test as you're shooting 120 yards over water to an elevated green with wooded tree areas long. The next 2 par fours have water and trees to negotiate but the lengths are under 300 yards. The long 170 yard par3 4th hole is the toughest hole on the course. Holes 5 through 8 are fun par 3's that require an accurate tee shot as there is OB, water and bunkers all adding to the design and ambiance of this quaint course.
I love Whiskey Creek Golf Corse but the people are amazingly friendly and welcoming to all levels of play. If you're a serious seasoned golfer this course will allow you show off, but this little tester of a track will bite back if you're off your game.
It is a wonderful golf course. Excellent value for the money
Course is well maintained. Greens are slow but in good shape
Was a decent course
We got a very good deal on Golfnow, consequently the value was good for the short course.
The greens and the fairways were in good shape.
Nicely challenging executive course
Whiskey Creek is an executive course, without a doubt. I've played here multiple times, and it's entirely possible to get 18 holes in under 2 hours if there's nobody playing in front of you (like the middle of the afternoon during the summer). Even with normal crowds, it's still easy to play in 3. However, those 18 holes will be deceptive -- you can and will use just about every club in your bag on this course (well, maybe not a 2 iron, unless you drive with it), with 6 par 4's ranging from 270 to 340 from the blues, and par 3's from 115 to 156. It's a great place to work on your short game, and with so many easily reachable par 3's, not a bad place to hunt for an ace. In general, my experience is that the course is well-maintained, with the rough being pretty tame. There is some water, mostly lateral (on 2, 9, 10, 11, , although 3 holes (1, 12, and 15) have forced carries over a canal, and 1 hole (8) has a pond that can come into play depending on pin location.
I'll also note one very nice thing about the course is that junior golfers -- under 17 -- play free. This course is perfect for a family outing; the more experienced golfers can play from the blues, while younger kids can easily tee up on the golds (and skip ahead of some of the water on the back 9), and older ones might play the reds.
As far as amenities, there's a basic pro shop selling balls, gloves, shirts & hats, and a full liquor bar and restaurant. Canned beer and soda is available to bring out on the course, as are cups of ice water from the bar. There is no refreshment cart, so plan ahead.
Reason for course amenities low - Dining room closed for renovation
Great value!
Really enjoyed Whiskey Creek. For the money, it can’t be beat. The greens were sanded making them very slow, but that’s something every course has to do. The rest of the course was in great shape and I loved being able to work on my short game on the 12 par 3’s. I will definitely be back this summer.
No rain check.
Played 3 holes. Radar was not accurate prior to start.
I felt they should have given me 9 holes. It is not season and it was not crowded.
Great play for the money
All was well but the greens were a little torn up.
