Myerlee Country Club
About
Myerlee Golf & Country Club began as the dream of a retired New York police officer who moved to Florida in the 1960s just so he could play more golf. His dream eventually became a peaceful retirement community with a beautiful 18-hole course as its centerpiece. The Arthur Hills-designed layout is one of the toughest par-60 golf courses in southwest Florida. There are two streams that cut across the course and intersect on the front nine. They snake along every hole, making water the predominant hazard but there are also several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for. The golf course is mostly open with a few cypress trees dotted along the fairways and greens. Myerlee Golf & C.C. is a course that will test your skills but it isn't overly punishing, which gives it appeal for beginners as well.

Nice executive course option
Generally what you would expect in early February for a Bermuda grass surface. Greens were in very good condition. Fairways & rough a bit sketchy.
Only real issue is pace of play. Expect a diversity of ability levels, lot of high handicaps & apparent newbies.
Never saw a ranger monitoring position. With 1 par 5 & only 4 par 4s, should be 3 hours or under. We were nearing 4 hours when the last putt rolled in.
Staff we did encounter were very pleasant & professional.
Slow play
League day, slow play
Starter friendly
Club house staff …meh
Unorganized & Poor Grounds
We booked a 9:40 tee time, showed up at 9:20, and was told to not tee off until 10, which turned into 10:20 as their Saturday morning league was grossly delayed. There wasn’t a starter to keep things organized, the staff had no clue what was going on, and they ran out of golf carts for a few unlucky groups who showed up after us. The course was not in good shape - shocker. Wouldn’t recommend.
Carts
Pleasantly surprised, they actually had enough golf carts, we’ve played here for years and they never had enough carts, you were always sitting around waiting for carts to come back.
Don’t like that they have automatic tip included, even if you buy a bag of potato chips that you served yourself, when you go to pay a tip is included.
Don't waste your time or money!
Terrible organization. Unfriendly staff. The starter let golfers without tee times cut in front of us with our pre-paid tee time. They allowed golfers to share a bag of clubs slowing us down. Pace of play is horrible and not monitored. Well over 4-hour round on a short par-3. Could not order food in advance at the turn, and it was slow once ordered at the bar, $75 for a badly conditioned par-3 during the week with awful service is a joke. No value at all.
Basically a par 3 course and DO NOT play on Sunday mornings
I should have known better. This course was approximately 40-50% cheaper than everything else I looked at, and now I know why. It's basically a par-3 course with a couple of par fours scattered in.
Also, they have an informal league on Sunday mornings, so if I had stuck around, it would have been a 6-hour round, I think.
The staff was friendly enough, and the course is in decent shape.
Bucko
Coarse in pretty good condition, they are always working on it to make it better!
Hidden gem
