About
The 18-hole Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1993. Designed by Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, Falcon's Fire Golf Club measures 7006 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 73.2 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are tifdwarf bermuda and the fairways are bermuda grass.
Falcon's Fire, a Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead signature masterpiece, is typically wide open, however, shot accuracy is essential. Fairways and greens are well bunkered, and water hazards are a common occurrence.

Golf Lessons with Will Walters
My wife & I just spent 3 full days taking golf instruction from the golf director Will Walters. My wife is a beginner and I've been playing for over 30 years. Will really concentrated on getting my wife to feel comfortable in the box and with her swing. She now has those skills to feel more comfortable on the course. We both came away from that experience with new skills, confidence and a new love for the game. Will's patience and approach was outstanding and straightforward. Although the temp was in the 90's, the time flew by during our lessons since we were having a good time and enjoying the interaction. Will provided video clips to underscore the lessons and pictures for set up and grip. We plan on a return trip this coming Fall/Winter to sharpen our new found skills. Although we didn't get to enjoy the course, the course and grounds were very nice.

Great course, greens need some love
Tee boxes and greens were a bit rough here and there. Overall very playable.

Course conditions were Rough
Greens were decaying and were dried out and not well maintained. The green side bunkers were rough as well. A lot of the fairways weren’t well maintained either.

Falcons Fire
The day started badly when using my card to pay for the round I was told there was a fee, never before in all my time playing in Florida have I been charged a card surcharge,utterly ridiculous.
The course was in poor condition, the marshal said he would monitor the pace of play but spent most of his time picking golf balls out of lakes which resulted in a very slow round.
I did not visit the clubhouse because I didn’t want to be charged extra again for using my card.
I have played the course in the past and the condition then was 10 times better than this time.
I will not be playing there again.

Wet underfoot
Despite recent heavy rains, the course was in reasonable condition. Greens not as quick as I remembered them.

Good value/ Pace was slow
The course was in decent shape. Some of the tee boxes and greens were a little rough. Sparse grass and bare spots.
The pace of play left a little to be desired. There was a twosome and single in front of us ( a foursome) and we were always waiting on them. We play ready golf, but they could have played faster.
The value for the round was quite reasonable! It has been a while since I played here, still a fun and challenging course.

Nice layout
Rained a lot the night before so the course was wet with water in some sand traps.

No range but there’s range balls all over the first hole..
I mean the range is out of service but the first hole is right next to it… slightly hit it left and good luck finding you ball… they left the range balls put all over the place.. makes no sense… greens are terrible.. 2/5 …

Gone downhill
Positives - GPS in cart, paired with friendly couple
Negatives - some greens dreadful!! Areas of fairway also
No Marshalls on course & 4 in front of us holding up everyone till we asked to get through at a par 3 when yet again they were at the cart
