The 18-hole Falcon's Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1993. Designed by Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, Falcon's Fire Golf Club measures 7006 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 73.2 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are tifdwarf bermuda and the fairways are bermuda grass.
Falcon's Fire, a Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead signature masterpiece, is typically wide open, however, shot accuracy is essential. Fairways and greens are well bunkered, and water hazards are a common occurrence.

Disappointed with conditions
Greens are in poor health. Tee boxes are mostly weeds and dirt. Fairways are mostly ok. What has happened to this course? It used to be a must play for us.
Would recommend, but...
I have played this course while on vacation to this area many times. This was the worst condition I've seen it in. Apparently there has been lack of rain in the area. But I like the layout and the greens were in okay shape. Grass was sparse at times in the fairway and rough. The price was right.

You get what you pay for.
Well the price was right however the winter and recent weather showed itself on the course. Tees were dirt and a number of turf issues around. I did notice many of the hills on the fairway were scalped so whoever is cutting does not know what they are doing or the mowers need attention.
I will return.
Not good
Tee boxes are in need of grass. Greens are in poor shape. Fairways had recently been plugged, but huge areas with no grass. Sand traps were inconsistent(some like concrete. some with sand). Basically the management of this course in recent times is a HUGE FAIL. Used to be a have good course conditions year-round. Now it's just withering away. Sad to see.
Fair conditions
I played this course several years ago and it was one of the nicest tracks in Orlando. My how the tones have changed. Tee boxes were dirt. Tough to find grass in the fairways. Greens were sparse but very slow.

Disappointing experience
I played this course few times few years back and it was in great shape then the course became a dump for years including during Covid. It came on my radar again when it was given 4 stars and decided to give it a try. I played it a couple of times and if last year and you could see that it was in good shape. I’m local and play some 30-40 rounds a year with favorite less favorites courses in Central Florida. I had a friend visiting again from out of town who had played the course with me last Thanksgiving week. We booked it and were looking forward to it. It started with the bag staff driving by with an empty cart and telling to take our bags downstairs when he was going there. We let go, checked in and headed to the first tee. The fairway looked decent from afar and the green was ok onsidering it was aerified not too long ago. The second hole has several bare and bumpy areas and we hoped the following holes would be in better shape. The tee box on hole was all sand and barely any grass and the green was in worse shape. Hole 4 was no better and now my friends and are looking forward alternative courses in the area except that we’re doing it at 3:30 on a Friday and you can’t go I. Any direction without having to spend 30-45 minutes to a good course. We decided we were stuck and continued playing frustrated. At the turn, we went to the pro shop and expressed our disappointment with the course conditions, the fact that the water dispensers on the course were empty on a 96 deg day and no beverage cart on the course. Justin, the assistant manager was dismissive saying that the price reflected The course condition, that there weren’t enough people playing to have the beverage cart out also claiming there were only 3 groups on 9, 10 and 18 when we came across at least 20.
We ended up finishing 18 with frustration at almost every green with the exception of 3-4 on the back nine.
Not planning on playing this course ever again mostly because the staff’s attitude and wouldn’t recommend you waste your money on it. I can name 20 other courses in the area that are in far greater shape and better value and staff.
Falcon’s Fire
Falcon’s Fire is a nice golf course. However, the day I played, the course was dry and brown. The greens were aerated. The course needs rain and the greens need to heal before I would go there again.

Hopefully the conditions are because of the drought
I have played this course numerous times over the past 20 years. It has had it's ups and downs, and unfortunately the conditions are on the down side. We had the 1st tee time of the day and finished our round in 3hrs and 15min, the staff were friendly and we were aware of of the aerating previously done. Unfortunately the tees are sparse of grass, and there are numerous areas of dead turf on the greens. I hope this is just a result of the almost 8 month drought, and it rebounds to it's days of undulating greens and spectacular views from perfectly manicured tee boxes.
While I can't honestly recommend the course to someone, I will still return in hopes that the conditions improve

Nice layout

Falcons fire
We played yesterday early 9.00am tee off time. Used putting green which had been treated so quite slow.asked the starter if greens on course were the same and he said yes and explained the price reflected that which we thought was fair and honest.we both loved the layout however the 2 ball in front of us were hitting 2 balls each off every tee which held us up a bit.we did report this to the starter who came round to check we were OK. We can see that efforts are being made to improve all areas of the course and for the price we enjoyed our round yesterday. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. We played here probably 7 years ago when it was voted best pay and play course in the area. I am sure you will get it back to those levels again and we will come back again tony scott

Seen better days
I like Falcon Fire because it is challenging and good course layout. It has hundred plus sand traps that are in pretty good shape. The fairways need help and tee boxes are mostly dirt. Greens have been aerated and sanded. The once beautiful views and plants are missing. The price is right and good carts with GPS.

Course is in a rough state
Greens/fairways/tee boxes were in very rough shape. Yes central FL hadn’t gotten rain in a while but it looks like they did not water at all. Lots of sand patches on all of the greens. Very inconsistent conditions made putting frustrating. Very rarely saw green grass anywhere. Grass was torched.

Falcon’s Fire
Falcon’s Fire is a very nice golf course. It has a challenging layout. We got a reduced green fee the other day because they had just aerated the greens a few days prior. The course is pretty browned out and desperately needs some rain. The sprinklers are helping a very little bit. I will return.
