About
Unlike many other courses in the state, Scenic Hills Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of rolling hills. In addition to the dramatic elevation changes throughout the course, the holes are sharply framed by towering pines that line the fairways. The holes play to generous putting surfaces that provide a variety of hole placements, but its best to play to the middle of the greens since there are strategically placed bunkers guarding all of the greens. Water hazards also come into play on six holes, but they require only minimal forced carries. Scenic Hills C.C. opens with what is arguably its most challenging holes. The par-4 hole plays downhill to a green that is not only protected on both the left and right with bunkers, but there is also a steep-faced bunker that is not visible from the fairway.

Poor condition
Tee boxes on the front were rough, poor condition. Greens as well, lots of dead grass, bald areas. Back was better though some of the tee boxes just as bad as the front.
Winter Round
Course has comfortable layout… not to hard, not too easy. Greens well protected. Bunkers need a lot of work. Staff very friendly!
Goat Ranch
My schedule opened up so I grabbed this GN time at the last minute. It’s been a couple of months sense I played here but I usually only play if there’s nothing left on GN. I don’t understand why anyone would pay full price to play here the course conditions are terrible. Bunkers are awful greens are awful, and tee boxes are terrible. Awesome staff and great clubhouse but course is in bad shape especially for how much it cost.
New years day golf
First time here. Greens rolled a good speed. Course had some damp spots recovering from rain. Played nice. Decent layout. But there are houses on most holes. And the bunkers were a muddy sand mixture. Don't know if this was normal or maintenance hadn't got to them. It's worth a try
Disappointed
I scheduled this course because it was recommended by someone else. Very disappointing overall, Starter was very friendly, tee boxes were in horrible shape, Fairways were almost like hitting off hard Pan, so little grass. Greens putted very well But almost every green had bear spots. Definitely would not make the hour plus drive again.
Played after a couple of rainy days. Course was in good shape except the bunkers. First time there so not sure if the bunkers are usually taken care of or not. They weren't playable with some standing water and mud. Greens putted nice. I'll play it again
Good layout - too many groups
While we had an enjoyable day on this fine layout - it seemed that the front nine was crammed with one or two too many groups. If they could possibly go dark for one tee time every hour or so, the pace of play would make the game much better. Good course with a fjne and friendly staff. Recommend - if you have the time!
Ken
Good course all around. Great views. Challenging holes. Great natural obstacles on 2, 6, 7, 9 and 13. Beautiful par three views at 4, 8, 14 and 16. There is a portion of the cart part in disrepair (15) that take away from the course. But the staff, food, abundance of carts and proximity of everything makes it a good course to play.
Great round of golf
Scenic Hills is one of the nicest courses in the area right now. The greens rolled very well and weren't as slow as many of the other courses in the area. My wife and I had a perfect weather day which made for a fun round of golf. Scenic Hills has a beautiful clubhouse with a very nice bar and dining area, along with a cover patio for those who like sitting outside.
Greens were in great shape
First time at Scenic Hills. Course layout was good. Fairways were good. It was nice to see sand in the fairway divots. Green were much better than expected. Ball marks were for the most part repaired (I am hoping the repairs were from players with a better understanding of course etiquette) which was great. Ball seemed to roll true so that’s an added plus. I would certainly come back for a replay.
Okay course
First time playing the courses. Lay out was good. Greens needed help. Staff was friendly. Would go back again
