About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Played with a very nice grandfather and his grandson . Great guys. Course was in very good shape . First year in the seven I have lived here that ball sits up on grass in fairways . Greens tough to read but are in great shape . Staff as always is

Price is excellent, fairways and greens in very good condition. Due to price several types of players, some don't understand golf ethics.
Average Course
At check in the staff was nice and helpful for the first time at this course. I arrived plenty early to get a bite to eat before my round. I was a little disappointed with the pro shop because they only offered hotdogs, candy bars, & chips. The starter was able to work me in with a foursome to get out earlier than my scheduled tee time. The course play was monitored by the automated cart GPS that would let you know if you were ahead or behind on time. The fairways were mostly in good shape with areas of weeds creeping in off the sides. If you didn’t make in the wide fairways you were punished by the grass/weeds yet to be mowed. The challenging unreadable greens were probably the best part of the course. Nothing fancy about this course other than the cart GPS.
Tropical storm round?
Heck yeah. Course was wet. Getting a band from a tropical storm. Rainy but beautiful. With all the rain and wind still shot 2 pars and a 2 birdies. Even better when it's dry. Play it.

Great Course. Only recommendation is hire a cart girl.
challenging greens
Greens are difficult to hold and you can easily go from one side to the other or roll off the greens. Testing your skill.
The management continues to put money back into the course. Making improvements each time I go.

Elevated greens were a little slow from top dressing a few weeks few ago.. Every course needs a little rain to help irrigation, The have repaired some tee boxes and are expanding the cart paths.

I had a bad experience from the start, I got there 8:15 AM for an 8:36 Am slot. I was made to wait for three other golfers by the Starter Marshall on holes 1, which two arrive arrived around 8:40, and one around 8:50 Am which I told the Marshal I wasn't going to wait any longer since I paid for a Tee Time at 8:36 Am. I will not return to this course

They continue to make improvements...more concrete cart paths most recently.
The course is green and well maintained throughout.

The course remains one of the best in the area. Well maintained greens and fairways make it a pleasure to keep coming back.
Played as part of a 4some using a hot deal for Wednesday midday. Played in 4:20. There was a marshal, but didn't improve the pace of play. Greens were punched a while back and still need time to heal. Putts bumped around and speed was inconsistent. Overall a very fun course...good layout and challenging shots. A lot of elevation change, mostly elevated greens, and contured and undulating greens. Would live to try it again when we are back in the area.
