Glenlakes Golf Club - Lakes Course

The Dunes which is a very challenging 9 was in the poorest shape I've ever seen it. Greens were horrible. The other 9 which shouldn't be their best was.

local knowledge is a real help. this was the 5th time I have played it and knowing where to hit it (and not to hit it) is a real help.

Course is in great shape. Greens are in great shape as well. Staff courteous and professional. Excellent golf value.

Several hole don't drain very well, but we did have heavy rain. Tees are ok, fairways are good, the greens hold well but they need to be rolled and maybe to much sand ( top dressing) on them. They roll ok but if they were rolled they would be awesome.

Wife and I played with two men and enjoyed our round. Glen Lakes can be a strenuous round with a handful of cart path only after an evening of heavy rain.Walking from the cart into the fairway and back over the many hills was a true workout. I’m not critical but for two middle 70 year olds, it was a real chore. We like the course and will return but may choose a day not following a rain storm. It is a very exciting course.

Cool day. !st time here. Some challenging holes. Front nine features really significant mounding. Usually tends to redirect some errant shots back towards the fairway. Back nine has less mounding. There appear to be some drainage issues in some spots. The parking lot and clubhouse are nicely situated, aiding getting around, loading up to play, and getting to practice green and the first tee. The driving range is also located close to the aforementioned areas. We will be back for future rounds as time permits. It is the type of course where comfort level is enhanced during subsequent rounds.
