Pine Creek Golf Course
About
Located east of Nashville in Mount Juliet, Pine Creek Golf Course claims to have the most well maintained greens in the area as well as some of the most affordable rates. The layout offers different challenges on the front and back nines for a diverse round. The first nine are links holes that tumble across rolling terrain while the back nine has a more traditional design with tighter fairways that require greater accuracy and strong iron play. The signature hole is the par-3 sixth, a hole generously framed with trees that crosses a large water hazards. It is a fair test for players of all skill levels but it was also designed with playability in mind. More seasoned golfers will find many risk-reward opportunities but beginners the forced carries won't punish beginners.

Not worth the money.
The fairways are in horrible condition. I would reference the condition right now as one of those "cow pasture courses".
New sod is laying around many of the greens with drops zones everywhere.
Need some work
The greens are the best part about this course, however the locals rarely fix their ball marks. Several holes are no carts allowed due the condition of the fairways. The fairways on several holes are nothing but dirt.
well maintained
greens very good.fairways good compared to other local courses this year.friendly staff.
Not Bad
This course has seen better days, but is in the same shape as every course in the area. Courses are still recovering from the hard winter. A few tee boxes could use some flattening and mowed a little better. Greens were in pretty good shape. It a good course to play.
Pine Creek----stay away
Use to be a very nice to play, but now is real bad. 6 or 7 holes you must stay on the path [not par 3's]. Almost all the holes the collar of them are beat bad and they have laid down new grass. But is bad.
To make matters worse they still charge full price, it is only worth in the shape it is in maybe 15$ no more. Will not play here again this year.
Birdie chances on most holes
Fairways had bare spots due to harsh winter , some par 4 and 5's holes cart path only
Course in bad shape...
Played here few years back and course was in good shape. Course now is not so good. Was told in clubhouse there were some bad spots in some fairways. The better statement would have been most of every fairway is in bad shape. Greens to the contrary were in excellent shape. So right now I would say stay away until they get the fairways fixed back to good standards.
Course needs work
I've played Pine Creek several times over the years and it's always been in great shape, tee to green. Not now. They have a real mess on their hands. The greens are excellent, the tees are really good, but the fairways...yikes. Some of them were literally just dirt and mud. I don't know what happened but I should have known something was up when I pulled into the parking lot at noon on a Sunday and there were only ten cars.
Such a shame
This course had a nice layout but the conditions were horrible; the fairways were burnt out (was told they froze over the winter and didn't recover) and the greens were very slow yet hard enough to not receive a chip let a alone a new iron shot in.
I've played courses this year that had fairway problems and they only charged $12-15. To pay$40 here was outrageous!
Average course
Staff excellent, carts clean. Pace of play very good. Fairwarys , almost of of them were poorly maintained. Dirt fairways for $55 round of golf weekend play, not worth the price.
The greens were real nice, no bumps, tight cut, no sand, smooth rolls.
Would recommend to a friend for $30 flat weekend price.
Working on everything
This course has been great over the years and they, much like every other golf course have suffered some damage from the harsh winter that we had. I've said that to say this, I don't mind paying to play golf when the course isn't in perfect condition as long as I see that they are working to fix the problem. While I was playing my round there was someone from their grounds staff working on every trouble spot they have on the course. It's nice to see the money we pay as customers going back into the course and not into someones pocket. This winter was one of the worst in a long time and golf courses everywhere are suffering, at least this course is working to fix the problem and you have to admire that. I will be back over and over again.
It's going downhill...
I've lived in the area and played Pine Creek for years. Traditionally one of the nicer courses in the area. But unfortunately every time I've played the experience has gotten progressively more terrible. Booked my tee time on GolfNow, and turns out they had us right in the middle of a tournament. That's fine, we didn't mind some congestion. But the pace of play was unbearable! We could only get in 12 holes because it got dark on us! And our tee time was at 2p!!!
Complained to the management at the course, and they were rude and unhelpful.
To top it off, the condition of the course has gone COMPLETELY downhill. It was better in the winter! The fairways have enormous patches of dirt. The grass is brown and dying.
What in the world happened, Pine Creek???
Won't be returning for a while. You just lost one of your more loyal customers. See you at Windtree I guess.
No grass in fairways
Has the potential to be a nice course but not being maintained. No grass in fairways.
No grass.
Good news - The greens are very nice. They roll good and are very receptive. The bad news - There's no grass in the fairways. They should stop play and try to salvage it. I played this course a lot last year and it was in great shape. I'm not sure if they cut the fairways too short or what happened, but it is literally like playing on concrete. The Tee boxes need some major overhaul as well. It would be nice to have a flat Tee box.
The only grass was on the greens
Chose this course because price/savings indicated it should be decent. This was true of the greens, ONLY, which were well tended and very green. The fairways were covered with dead, tamped down grass, and the dirt underneath was hardpan. It was like playing on concrete. Teeboxes (women's) were marginally better. Most of them looked temporary. Not much attention to detail at this course. We were to be paired up, but after waiting past our tee time for our playing partners, we teed off (no one behind us at this point). Course was busy, but pace of play was good. Had we known the condition of the course, we would not have played here. Was not worth the $33/pp we paid.
Want to try again.
I enjoyed this course but got a tee time right after a tournament and ended up catching the tail end of it after 4 holes. After that we had to wait at least 5 minutes every stroke. I really want to play again soon with out the tournament.
Fairways!!!!
The greens were excellent, but the fairways were so thin (down to the dirt) that it was hard to hit consistent iron shots. It is concerning that we are so far into golf season and there was hardly a sprig of bermuda to be found on the course. I understand the need for warm nights, but would nightly watering enhance the growth? Long way to go........to maximize the playing experience. By the way, the starter was excellent!
Fun course
Greens are in good condition. The traps need sand and I can't wait till the weather changes and the course greens up.
Decent course
I may have played this course too early in the season but I found a hot deal on golfnow and took my step son to play a quick 18. I anticipate that the course conditions will improve with the weather over the next few months and it will play a little better. Greens were in rough shape but were also recently aerated. I'll be back for another round given the price is right.
