Indian Hills Golf Course

I've been playing this course for about 13 years and this is the worst that I've ever seen it. The tee boxes and fairways are horrendous. The greens are in fairly good shape. All of the yardage markers on the sprinkler heads are also missing. I will not play again until work is done to bring back the tee boxes and fairways. Such a disappointment.

Played the front 9 in less than 2 hours with another guy. The greens were in good shape and rolling well. Most of the fairways were completely dead/dormant. They said that they have applied fertilizer and were hoping to get them back in a week or two. Overall a decent price and a decent round of golf.

Right now it's just the beginning of the season and we also has a pretty bad winter for this year. The course is coming along pretty good. Remember, my review is based on the time of my visit, if it had been summer time the course would get better rating from me.
It is a very challenging golf course in town. If you can't hit it straight you better not play here because there is a lot of expensive houses here. You know what I mean if you have broke people's window before.
The price is very fare and I have not run into bad service like some other people have in the past and I think it's the people that have visited the course themselves that was at fault. Y'all know what I mean. " Don't go to a golf course with a bad attitude and talk mean to the people that works there because they are human too. gave them some respect and they will do the same for you.
For outside visitors, You'll like the course like I have if you act like a good person and that's how everyone should be.

We were cart path only due to recent rains. Even with that, pace of play was still good. Probably could have allowed carts out on the fairways on the back 9. The greens are in fantastic shape. $16 for a 6-pack??? And courses wonder why people sneak beer in!

Course was wet from morning rains. Still played well for winter conditions. Water is plentiful and trees line virtually every hole. Accurate t shots are required making the play challenging and fun at the same time. Greens putted true. Look forward to playing course in dry conditions.

Course was very wet. The fairways have a long way to go to get the carts off the path. Greens were recently plugged and growing in quickly. The course will be in great shape, in about a month.

I don't really have anything bad to say about this course. For the time of year, it was in pretty good condition. It was just not an interesting course to play. I enjoy a course with many different types of holes. To give a comparison, I really enjoy Pebblebrook because of the variety of holes. I will say it is not very well marked, as we had to ask how to get to #10 ("Go between those two buildings, through the parking lot, and across the street.")

All in all, if my group wanted to go back I wouldn't object, I just wouldn't suggest it myself.

Staff was friendly, and they allowed the two of us to break from 4 some to play quicker. But, ask for a fully charged golf cart. Ours died before finishing 18 holes.

Travel for work and spend lots of time in Nashville. Course was recommend by a golf buddy and was well worth the trip from downtown. Bentgrass greens were in great shape and winter rye tee boxes were fluffy. $20 bucks for 18 holes on a Sunday? Expected a dog track. Found a new favorite. Kudos to to the course superintendent.Great muni.

Fairways were dormant but in good shape. Greens were very good. Good weekday price on Golfnow.

I have only been playing regularly for about a year so I'm not that experienced. This course was perfect for my talent. Shot a 46 (per 36) on the front nine. Had my brother play with me that is a twice a year player (shot 58) and he had an enjoyable time also.

I really enjoyed this course. We played in late Nov and the greens are in good shape. My wife and I enjoyed the set up, the scenery, and the challenging hole locations. We are looking forward to playing again in the summer, when the grass is in and everything is green.

It's a great course. Holes 2 and 8 are right next to railroad tracks. If a train is coming, it's a little distracting. And there was some kids playing football on 10. Just be careful of the close houses. Lol

This is the second time i have played Indian Hills and was not disappointed. I brought my friend who has never been here and he was on the same page as me---the fairways were nice, the greens were green, and the rough was rough enough for this time of year with no real rain fall. I still dont see where the negative reviews come from. We register online, show up, and on the T right in time. There was a handful of people ahead of us, and a handful of people behind us. Everyone doing the same thing, playing at a reasonable pace for a bunch of amateurs for 14.00 dollars for 9 holes. We'll be back for sure.

First let me say I play a lot of golf here and around and this is the first time I've encountered this. Purchased 2 rounds online and pre paid got there and were playing when my buddy got a call from school and had to go pick up his little girl shouldn't be a problem right ? Just get a rain check they will understand. Wrong. They wouldn't do it very disappointed. Might look at the other 20 courses around middle Tn next time sorry cuz the course is proli in best shape in a long time.

This course has some challenging and rewarding holes.

For the money it is an extremely good deal.

Indian Hills is a pretty good course to play. It's not the best of courses but it has been in pretty good shape this year. The greens are nice and the fairways are in ok shape. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming every time I played there. Overall it is a good course to play as you will probably use every club in your bag.

I love the layout of this course. We golf this course almost weekly and it is in the best shape I have ever seen. There are some of the staff there I love and make the exsperience great and really recognize their regulars. But to be honest there are some that make me question my loyolty to this course as my home course. Everyone has a bad day but it seems like there are a few there that everyday is one. Also, their food selection and lack of a cart going aroud the course on nice days when busy kills me! On top of that the water stations aroud the course have ALL been removed! Get thirsty on 3- you have to wait till the turn for anything to drink! Even the VA course has water stations! Great course but some things that happen there make me question if they really care about thier customers.......oh and this current round I can't forget about the guy on the lawn mower that litterally followed us and cut three of the greens- sitting in idle as we putted- go cut a different one instead of following us!! Really disapointed!

Course in good shape. Greens are excellent. Rolled really good.
