as always had a great time at indian hills
booked a 9:04 tee time and we were off at 9:05 ,, staff in clubhouse was very friendly and acted like we were old friends , of course that's how i've been treated every time i've played here . course was in great shape and the pace of play was good we only had to wait on 2 or 3 holes all day .. greens were excellent as were the fairways and the rough was not "too high" . look forward to my next visit ,,, thanks to everyone at indian hills
Nice track, great price; course is in perfect shape. We played fast for a Sunday round; of course two of our players shot mid 70's
Great course at a great price. Very friendly staff, the greens and fairways were pristine.
Great course for the price!
I've played Indian Hills through a golfnow deal twice now, both times the staff is great, they keep tee times going off on time, and the course is in great shape. Greens roll true, but have been a little on the slow side with all of the rain we've had. The only thing I wish they would add is some better yard markers around the course, but all in all I think this is a great course to play no matter what level golfer you are.
Very playable
Best condition this course has been over last three years. Fairways are lush and all greens were good.
Hidden Gem in Murfreesboro, TN
From tee to green, course was well maintained. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape for being in mid-August. All Greens had consistent speeds. Only two minor negatives were some of the tee boxes were slightly sloped, and the rough was cut extremely short. But that being said having short rough does keep the speed of play up at a public course.
I play here alot....Best condition ever.
First time the guy at the desk gave me a hard time for booking a GolfNow special.... Nobody there and he didn't want us to tee off 20 minuites early.... Even tho I got a great deal (Hot special) I expect to be treated like a cash customer.
A good course and enjoyable to play
Its a fair golf course to play with some challenging holes. It has nice practice greens and driving range. The pro shop and snack bar is also very nice and my friends and I will play there again.
Great course in Murfreesboro
The course is in excellent shape. I wish that the price was a little lower, but we can't always get what we want. I think that they have spent around 8 million dollars on this course in the last few years. It definitely shows.
Good course, but it''s in the details
The course itself was fun to play, however its the services that are lacking. I was playing as a twosome and was hoping they had another one to put with us. The pro shop told me that they did but that group added a third, so what did they do? They put the threesome off in front of us, it took us 6 holes of waiting on every shot before they let us play thru. Then in between 9 and 10 we stopped for a quick beverage and a hot dog and they did have any hot dogs ready (even though they have a hot dog machine), it was only 3:00 but you could tell that they were not looking to lose any money, instead of thinking they could make more money.
WORST GOLF EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD
I arrived early to be able to hit 2 buckets of balls before I teed off. They have a driving range right out front of the clubhouse. I go to use it and the sign said "no woods allowed." So I went back in the club house to get a refund on one bucket because I wasn't allowed to practice with my driver. The old guy behind the counter said he couldn't do that. I said i didn't need two buckets if I couldn't hit my driver. He still said I couldn't get a refund. So I went back out to hit some of my irons and my 5 hybrid. I hit my irons and when I picked up my 5 hybred the old guy came on the loud speaker and said NO HYBRIDS! I said it is a 5 and I could hit my 5 iron 20 yards farther. He said too bad, no hybrids! I was now angry and walked back into the clubhouse. I said you people have no common sense. I said that they were like the school that suspends a little kid for bringing a little toy soldier that has a tiny little rifle to school. He said rules are rules. I said hybrids are not woods! I also said that I was the only person on the driving range so what would it hurt. He said too bad rules are rules.. I said I will never ever come back to this stupid place again.
The greens needed work. With all the rain that we had this year the greens should have been in much better shape. There are no cart girls and no one to help speed up play. It took the group I was with over 5 hours to play. Never again! There are much nicer courses to play and they treat you much better.
Oh yeah, when I made the turn at 9, there were 8 guys hitting balls on the range. Guess what...one guy was hitting a driver, 2 guys were hitting hybrids!
All was a good time.
Didn't play well but the course was good and booking with Golf Now was great.
Fine greens
After having trouble last summer and losing 2-3 greens they are in great shape this year. We observed them closely monitoring the greens too, so it is likely to stay that way. With all the rain lately, the fairways (and the rough!) were green and lush as well!
Course is in good shape, greens are good speed.
Course and greens are in great shape, pace of play was good. Really a big difference from last year.
Fun course. Good mix of long and short holes, straight and doglegs.
This course has four sets of tees and will challenge anyone. I like the mix of long and short holes. The greens are undulating and tricky but fair. You don't want to be above the hole on some of the greens. There are also a few greens that slope away from you from front to back and favors a high ball-flight to get close to the hole. No. 1 is a good example of that. Overall the course is challenging but very playable and even on Saturday the pace of play was good. The course was in great condition and the greens were very consistent. I will definitely play here again and recommend it to my friends.
One of the best courses in the area!
I always enjoy Indian Hills. They have a great practice area and there course is always in good shape, but this past trip the great were Fantastic and the fairways where great. As always you are challenged at every hole. I would highly recommend getting over to the course and playing 18, you will be happy with what you see.
Course is in good shape, but the pace of play on the weekend was very slow.
The Course was in very good shape. The greens were fairly quick and well kept. The course was pretty full, but we got behind a group that was constantly looking for balls and wouldn't let anyone through. Quite a back up, with open holes ahead of them.
Course in great condition.
I have played this course numerous times over the years, it is in the best condition.
Your money is better spent elsewhere.
The proshop staff is rude and unfriendly. They treat you like you stole their children when you purchase through Golfnow. If you don't want people to play for less than your outrageous rates, don't offer deals through Golfnow. OH and children under 8 are not even allowed on the course. How are you supposed to get a child interested in golf if they aren't allowed on the course. Take your money elsewhere.
Good day on the Links
Indian Hills golf course is in overall good shape. The tees and fairway were in good condtion. The greens were smooth and consistent with a nice speed, not slow and not lightning quick. They do need to check the sand in the traps. The one trap I found (right front of #9) did not have enough sand to allow you to get under the ball. it was like trying to play off of hardpan. Other than that no complaints. Pace of play was excellent.
Course can be very narrow
The condition if the course was a bit ruff due to a big storm the night before. They got all the tree limbs piled out of the way, but not much can be done about the deep water in the bunkers.
