Golfer Reviews
Terrible greens!
$25 bucks to play a cousre where you cant even use your putter is a joke. There also seemed to be "several" groups of 4 or more in front of ours which took a while. Didnt even play all 18 holes. Should have read the reviews before booking, that way I wouldnt have wasted time or money. Will learn for next time.
great course for the money
i usually dont write reviews, each person has there on perspective on things. buddy i play golf with lives close so we try to play courses close to his house also. this is one of the nicest course that we play, challanging fairway with houses on both side, the rode with cars on the the other, the occasional horn blowing from fans driving by. never had any issues with this course, will return
What happened to this course
I live in Murfreesboro, about 6 miles for Indian Hills and have always loved it. The layout, the challenge, but especially the slick greens. I had not been back over here since June and could not believe the condition of the once pristine greens. I would have been very angry if we had paid more than the $14 each we got on the hot deal. And for some reason as this is the first time I've used my iphone app to book, it charged me the booking fees. I hate to see this happened to a great course. The staff have never been overly friendly, and kind of upity, but I still enjoyed the course. We won't be back anytime soon, maybe its time they sell it to someone who will take care of it.
poor value for the money
Over the last three years, the condition of this course has deteriorated. While the fairways are in fairly good condition, almost every green is diseased, with no evidence of any efforts to repair/restore them back to an acceptable condition.
The staff needs to be trained how to deal with customers. Customers are the reason they have a job, and they need to know this important fact.
The greens fees are extremley out of line for the condition of the course.
The greens are in terrible shape!
The course was in fair shape except for the greens. They were terrible with bald spots, dead areas, sandy spots. Also the play was very slow on the back 9 and there was no visable marshalling of slow play from the clubhouse. There were 4 groups backed up starting on number 10.
Poor Greens
From tee to green the course is fine, I played the ball down and had no problems.
The greens are in poor condition, large damages areas and some poor patching.
I booked for two and as sometimes happens my partner could not play. The staff was totally dismissive, boarder line rude and had could care less good for us attitude.
I will not be back.
Greens are no good....
I've been playing this course for over 6 years and over the past year its gone way down. They have not had good greens all year. The manager of this course does noting but chill all day long while to course is getting worse and worse. Yes...its cheap...but I would rather pay a little extra and play a better maintained course. If you like putting on dirt this is the course for you....
This course is in bad condition.
I have played here many times, but this course is in horrible condition, the main problem being the greens. Almost every single green has horrible dead patches and ruts in it. You can not judge your putts because you have no idea where the ball will roll over a dead patch.
In hindsight, I should have driven a little farther and taken Golf Now's deal at Champions Run.
Good fairways
Indian Hills is a good course. The staff is always pleasant.
Good putting and range areas.Fairways are always in good shape.I was suprised to find out what bad shape the greens where in.I played in August and the greens were getting very
bare then. Yesterday the greens were i bad shape. I reallly like this course, but I hope it does not continue to lack the maintenance that is needed.
The biggest problem were the greens were in very poor condition.
Staff very friendly, only issue was the greens were in poor condition.
Don't waste your money!
This course looked like it was having financial problems. The greens were in bad shape and appeared to have been recently sodded in several spots. The fairways looked like they were not being cut on a regular schedule due to the heavy amount of grass clippings on the fairways.
Greens, what greens? Yardage markers... eh, dont need em.
Not only is the staff always rude and talking down to you the course is poorly marked for yardage and often quite wrong. The greens were in horrible condition and three of them were closed with temporary greens being placed in fareways. Course was in awful shape and it is off my list for the remainder of this season and will slide way down my options list for the next year as well.
This course has a very challenging layout
The greens were in horrible shape. In the past the greens were
above average. Haven't played there in 6 weeks. Maybe they are in better shape now.
