Nashboro Golf Club sits just outside of Nashville's city center, and offers good times and good tests.
Nashboro Golf Club is home to a classically designed par-72 championship golf course that measures 6,887 yards; manicured Bermuda fairways give way to premium bentgrass greens. Grass aficionados will also be happy to know that the fairways and roughs both get plenty of rye grass seeds during the winter, allowing for ideal playing conditions year-round. All levels of golfer can get into the course's beauty - the fairways are lined with both mature trees and great vistas - and the strategically-placed water hazards and bunkers will also challenge seasoned golfers and novice golfers alike.

Hard to love
I've played this course a few times and had some fun experiences. The course layout is challenging and enjoyable. This particular outing was slightly disappointing. I've had worse experiences elsewhere but man this was very annoying.... They wouldn't allow me to have my own cart and forced me to either walk or ride with a stranger. I managed, but I thought that was very weird and tacky. This is GOLF. The greens were VERY bumpy. The course is very hard and dry at the moment. The tee boxes were COVERED in broken tees from careless guests not being courteous and picking/cleaning up/following etiquette. There was no way to know if you could drive the cart on fairways on certain holes. The cart would shut down and force us to reverse to cart path even though it would allow you drive in the fairway on other holes or other parts of the same hole...?!?! To top it off, they will not give you ice because they assume you may have brought your own booze. I use ice water to clean my clubs with a towel and to splash on my face when it's 90° out. I even offered to let them search my bag if I could just get ice but they wouldn't do it. Again, thought that was weird. It's like you want to punish every customer because you've had some clowns out there not respecting your course. If you're reading this and considering playing a round here, you should give it a try to see for yourself. But don't be surprised by the negative and awkward vibes you will encounter.

Nashboro has gotten much worse
Very poor condition of the greens, tees, fairways, bunkers. Used to be a decent course, not anymore. Greens fees of $15 would be about right. Anything more is a
waste.

Worst experience ever on golf course
Unleashed dog running around in club house and starting tee box. Refused to give me a separate cart due to chain smoker in the cart. So I walked. Then a single joins the group in a cart alone. Meaning there was no shortage of carts. “Sam” got all belligerent when I asked the dog was there. Said will call the cops. Told him to go ahead. Then he asks a 300 pound man to fill in for the cops. Is the staff here all goons?

Course pretty rough. Fairways especially but had recently been worked on. Greens bit bumpy for my liking. No driving range. Got there an hr early to hit balls and range was only open to members. Was told I could go down the road to a hitting range facility if I wanted b4 the round. Not familiar with area and couldn't do that. Otherwise, loved the layout of the course and pace was great especially for a Friday afternoon.

Horrible pace of play
Our group was myself another single and two regulars. At the turn the single golfer bailed 3 1/2 hours for front nine. No one in front of us all day, golfers hitting up on us all day. I left after hitting off 16 tee box, 5 hours and 15 minutes since teeing off first green. No course superintendent to get the twosome to stop taking 10 minutes + for every shot and 5 minutes + for every putt. I’m an 18 handicap and have never spent over 4 hours and 15 minutes at a course. Usually under 4 hours. The course was in very good shape and great playing condition but the lack of supervision and superintendent to move the uneducated middle age hacks along was a mind f@#k. It left such a bad impression that I would be reluctant to play there again.

the course is so close to being in good shape, will be back for sure. Tuesday's Veterans can walk the course for free or ride for 25.00 great deal. the staff are great.

Interesting layout, challenging greens!
Nice experience on an interesting course with quality but very challenging greens. Quality of fairway maybe due to season could be improved.
