Nashboro Golf Club sits just outside of Nashville's city center, and offers good times and good tests.
Nashboro Golf Club is home to a classically designed par-72 championship golf course that measures 6,887 yards; manicured Bermuda fairways give way to premium bentgrass greens. Grass aficionados will also be happy to know that the fairways and roughs both get plenty of rye grass seeds during the winter, allowing for ideal playing conditions year-round. All levels of golfer can get into the course's beauty - the fairways are lined with both mature trees and great vistas - and the strategically-placed water hazards and bunkers will also challenge seasoned golfers and novice golfers alike.

No fairway aeration warning or discount
4.5 hours isn’t terrible on a Saturday morning but we had a 5 some in front of us.
Could be good
I'm from Arizona in a golf community and our course
is very nice. I was visiting Nashville and googled
10 best courses in Nashville , and Nashboro golf club came up , so i gave it a try , boy was i dissapointed
The Club house is in Sad shape , the course was in very tough shape except the greens which where good
I know the course is coming out of Winter , but they don't really get winter in Nashville ( no Excuse )

No marshall to keep pace of play on time.
Pace of play was terrible and there was no marshall to ensure pace of play is going.

First timer
I would say the caveat to this review is that I would think this place looks/plays better in the summer. But the fairways and tee boxes were getting aerated during the round which made it difficult to get a decent lie. I brought some customers there because it was short notice, but I probably wouldn't be back with customers. It's a place to play with your buddies that don't take the game seriously.

Terrible
Golf course in terrible shape. Just awful.
Cart paths are in even worse shape. Greens are not maniicired. Just the worst.

Better than last year
To begin with I just want to say the pro shop staff were very pleasant and made me feel like they valued our foursome. We teed off at 2:00 ish and finished at 6:15, squeezing in all 18 before twilight.
The course still suffers some drainage issues but I saw a marked improvement over last year. The course is fun in a cart but I don’t recommend walking - long layout and a few hills. A better challenge than a lot of courses in middle TN for the same or more $$$.
Will definitely return.

Lacking amenities
Had a nearly two hour frost delay, which is fine. For $60 a round after tax, it would be nice if there was a driving range or chipping area or something. Small putting green with no cups only allows for a few people.
After standing around for an hour fifty minutes, pace of play was much better than expected. The group in front of us flew through and we didn’t spend nearly any time waiting at tee boxes after #1. The course overall was in great condition.
This is a nice course, however for the price, you are better suited to go to other courses with more amenities to offer for practice/warmup/ etc.
