Nashboro Golf Club

This was my first time playing Nashboro. Yes, you drive through a bunch of townhouses to get there. Kinda weird. I enjoyed my time though. The course was challenging for me (13 handicap), but was maintained well, fun layout and was a blast to play. Driving range was taken out to build condos, so no 5 stars. Only other thing I didn't like was the par 3 13th on the back 9 runs right along the noisy road... I felt the prying eyes of passing motorists, obviously causing me to pull hook my 7 iron and make bogey. Regardless, I'll be back.

Played here a handful of times. Does not have a range. One of the faster greens in the area. Course it’s kept up nicely. Staff is friendly. Worth the rates. Pace of play is pretty fast. Especially this last visit we played a 8:20 am tee time on a weekday and felt like we had the course to ourselves. Got done in about 3.5 hours. Will definitely be returning.

Overall I had a great day here today. Greens were fast and in good shape. Fairways were in great condition as well. We had a slow group in front of us but it's a public course so that's not the fault of the course itself.

I'd go back and absolutely will!

Out side of the plexiglass at the register, no COVID protocol. 2 players per cart, pretty much just deal with it due to course lack equipment. I ask the Pro Shop could I pay for an additional cart, I was told I understand but can’t help.

Great shape for all the rain we have had. First time I’ve ever seen the greens roll slow. Nice change from the fast greens.

The course plays great. The cat paths need some work but the course itself is amazing.

Course layout is good and condition is okay. Green speed lacked consistency from hole to hole but they were in good shape. Pace of play was really bad (4.5hrs) for a weekday morning when there were very few players on the course. Our twosome (shot 79 and 83) was paired with a “member” and another person who each shot 100+ and really slowed us down. Nice guys but no one likes to be paired with strangers that slow down the round on a day when our twosome could have easily gotten around in under 4.

This was the worst course I have ever played on. The cart path has 6 foot pot holes, the greens were terrible, and the fairway was worst. 80 bucks was a joke. Do not go here.

All this crying is far from true. Staff are extremely friendly. I’m sorry you want to bring your drinks to someone else’s business. My guess is if you owned a business you’d have a problem with it as well. I’ve played this course probably 30 times since March and never had one issue. Greens are arguably the best in Nashville. I’ve had buddies supposed to play with me cancel last second and they’ve never hassled me once. I had a friend cancel on a hot deal that’s not refundable and they gave me a rain check to use later. Every single staff member I’ve spoke to has always been nice and helpful. There is a reason there is a wait list for membership to this course.

I played here a year ago, and there were a few greens under repair. I'm happy to see all 18 greens rolling as smooth as glass. Very quick, but true, with the bermuda's grain. Excellent putting surface from the practice green all the way through the 18th hole!

The pace of play was terrible though. My foursome teed off about 8 minutes late, behind a foursome who likely took over 5 hours to finish their 18 holes. We skipped them on hole 12, and caught back up on pace with all that room ahead of them. We finished our 18 holes in about 4:30 hours in total. Bummer!

Just like you I was hesitant about playing here b/c of the negative reviews.... let me say this, they are all a lie! This course isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s challenging! When you start it looks like any other golf course until you hit your first green. This is what separates the men from the boys. The pin locations are extremely challenging and they are meant that way on purpose. This course will take an a great golfer and make him look like a novice. Take the time to putt and chip b4 you start.The practice green will be your friend for what’s to come. It helps to play with someone who’s played it b4 b/c there are hidden obstacles that you can’t see b4 it’s too late. I enjoy playing something challenging so I had a great time. You will to. Take the time to go play this course. You won’t be disappointed. Everyone I came in contact w/ today was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They do have rules about coolers so do yourself a favor and follow the rules... leave the coolers at home and purchase your drinks from the concession area and use the cooler on the golf cart. The provide you w/ cups and water and ice everything else can be bought on-site. Make sure to wear proper attire and know the rules are there to protect you and them. I don’t work for the golf course but i don’t want someone to miss out on this hidden gem b/c of a bad review.
