Patriots Glen Golf Club

I think overall the course is great. The holes are well isolated, layout is AWESOME, and course is decently challenging. I’ve only played this year so far, and it was in better condition this time than last (last time most traps were clay pits and not maintained, that was fixed this time around. The thing that is still lacking is the greens are in pretty rough condition, putts jump around sometimes and can be inconsistent. Looking forward to seeing if this improves over the next couple years.

Prepare to take 5 hours for 18 holes! No speed enforcement! Booking foursomes every ten minutes is an automatic fail if you don’t enforce play speeds on the course. Please stop trying to fix 6 foursomes in one hour. Most authentic courses only book 4 groups in one hour because they care about the players, not a sale; you should do the same.

The course has come a long way since last year. The tee boxes are in okay shape, the fairways are great, and the greens are 50/50.

Overall, the course is NOT worth $50, for the pace of play and the current state most of the greens are in. Everyone loves the location, but all I hear is complaints about the pace of play each week.

I am so very, VERY happy to see this course turning in the right direction. I have played and reviewed Patriots Glen many times. Have seen conditions go from 4+ stars to 2 stars, and that’s being nice.

The layout is the draw that keeps me coming back. Great holes, nothing straight, forced carry’s, very isolated on most holes. You generally don’t see other holes while playing. Cart paths are good. They roll thru some nice wooded areas that are great on hot and sunny days.

Long and short par 3s,4s and 5s.. they are offering a membership deal that seems good because when this track is truly back at 4 stars again, ( 3 + stars today) expect to pay $60 to $80 . That’s my catch 22. The better it gets, the more people will come, and the more it will cost. Have to seriously consider joining to save the money down the road. Looking forward to seeing Patriots Glen back to where this layout deserves..

This course was in awful condition a couple years ago. Tried it out today and I can happily say that the course is in much better condition. I would say its about 7/10 right now. A couple years ago I would have given it a 2/10.

I haven't played this course in several years and the last time I did it was excellent. Apparently they have had it rough the past few years but its working it's way back? Decent deal at $45 but course was a little rough in spots. My game relies on getting up and down but the greens were just not good enough for that. Biggest issue was the 5.5 hours it took to finish the round...didn't see a ranger until halfway thru back nine...just to tell us it was a little slow up ahead??? I will return one day but gonna give it some time.

Last time I played here a few years ago the course was in bad shape. Went there today and the course has changed so much. Much improvement!! My friend and I were debating on signing up for the anniversary membership. We said that depending on how the course looks now. Needless to say, we both got a membership and look forward to golfing next week. Great job with the improvements!!

They only allowed us to play 9 holes. Our Tee time was scheduled for 330 and they had a men’s league at 5. We had plenty of time to finish the first 9 or they should’ve let me know before hand and let me decide if I wanted to play the back 9 only.

Today was the first time I’ve played PGN, and after reading other reviews I didn’t have my hopes too high, expecting the course conditions to be fairly poor. However whatever happened in the past few weeks must have changed the course a lot, because the conditions weren’t bad at all. There were maybe 3 greens that were patchy and needed work, but no greens were unplayable, the rest of the greens were in great shape. The same goes for tee boxes, a 2-3 needed some work but most were fine. The bunkers definitely are the worst aspect of the course conditions wise. Most were not playable and some had standing water. The fairways all seemed to be in great shape. Whatever struggles this course has gone through seem to have faded away, and with the great layout, there’s major potential for PGN to be AMAZING. For now, it’s still a great course and I’ll surely be back.

First time playing the course and had a great time. Conditions were solid and I really enjoyed the layout. I had a late tee time and the pace of play wasn’t the best. Seemed like the tee times weren’t spaced out enough, but overall the experience was positive. Will definitely be back to play again!

Booked a tee time the night before. Weather was looking good for today...and it was....last dry day for a while. The course is really coming back. There are still some "rough" spots on some greens, but the fairways are in pretty good shape. We unfortunately had a walking foursome in front of us which moved along, but it did keep the pace on the slow side. Good value for the buck.

I enjoy Patriots Glen National Golf course very much , the staff is excellent , the layout is a lot of fun, over water , change in slight elevations, nicely kept fairways. The greens are best I have seen in years but as they grown, they are bumpy. I’m sure they will be rolled soon. The cost is reasonable. No complaints at all.

Played last week and again yesterday. With the rain late last week, the fairways are filling in nicely. Greens have some rough spots but over all satisfactory. Played as a single behind two foursomes, so a bit slow in the beginning. Had lots of time to search out orphan balls in the woods. They let me play through at the turn. Overall, a very nice day on the course.

This is a really easy and simple review to leave. The course layout is beautiful, very nice use of the landscape. The condition is mediocre, some holes are in tiptop shape, but some holes are not very good at all. Three of their greens are in very poor condition, yet nine or 10 of them are in very good condition. But they priced it correctly, a good modest price factors in the condition of the course, making it worth playing. We will return…
