Inniscrone Golf Club
About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Hole 13, back of the green Photo submitted by Edward3574350 on 12/20/2012
Needs a lot of work
I traveled an hour for this one! First, it’s in the middle of nowhere.. the staff are fabulous, the course layout is challenging, but u can see the neglect this course has endured. Tee boxes and greens are damaged. The smell in the air on the back 9, was brutal. I guess the course has potential, but I can’t invision it prospering. Good luck, I hope you preserve!
This course is a great challenge for a beginner
i’m just starting out with golf and i was really impressed by the conditions. from what i understand they’ve made a huge leap since last season and it shows. every hole had a completely different green complex and it was very tough to gauge pace and slope which i think is awesome. plus a great layout and friendly staff i’ll definitely be back soon.
Great experience
Course in great shape except a few tee boxes on the back 9. Staff was awesome greed are very tiough, relatively small and not many flat spots on them :-). Overall I would recommend and will be back.
the ten holes i played where nice
i enjoyed the course and the staff was nice but the pace of play was terrible. 10 holes in four hours, never saw a ranger. looks like club house is new or being remodeled. left after ten holes
Beginner golfer, first time at Inniscrone
Staff was super friendly and helpful. They warned me ahead of time that this can be a challenging course and gave some tips to help my experience. This course gained a reputation post pandemic for being poorly maintained, but I can safely say that is no longer the case. Gorgeous, smooth greens and beautiful fairway. Will be back!
Tough course
This course has some difficult holes with many blind shots. Overall it’s in decent shape. The fairways are good but some of the tee boxes are awful. This has been an ongoing issue and needs to be addressed.
Play it again
Really love the layout of the course. Greens are very good...fix your Divots and stop spitting sunflower shells on the green. Would definitely play again.
Fun course with some unique holes.
First time playing the course, fortunately got paired up with 3 others who play it regularly.
Course was in good shape for early March in PA, Some low spots need to drain and dry out some more, and a several tees could use some work.
I’m a walking golfer myself, but this course is very hilly and I’m glad I took a cart for this round.
A nice combination of hilly terrain and challenging holes, along with holes with definite birdie potential made it a very fun round. Next time I’m in town I’m going to take another crack at it.
Inniscrone
Played a scramble with my buddy. It had rained most of the week and it was overcast the all the full day with light rain when we played. The course was in great condition for all those challenges. It wasn’t super soggy and had great drainage. I always enjoy playing there. Always a good time.
