About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Play it again
Really love the layout of the course. Greens are very good...fix your Divots and stop spitting sunflower shells on the green. Would definitely play again.
Fun course with some unique holes.
First time playing the course, fortunately got paired up with 3 others who play it regularly.
Course was in good shape for early March in PA, Some low spots need to drain and dry out some more, and a several tees could use some work.
I’m a walking golfer myself, but this course is very hilly and I’m glad I took a cart for this round.
A nice combination of hilly terrain and challenging holes, along with holes with definite birdie potential made it a very fun round. Next time I’m in town I’m going to take another crack at it.
Inniscrone
Played a scramble with my buddy. It had rained most of the week and it was overcast the all the full day with light rain when we played. The course was in great condition for all those challenges. It wasn’t super soggy and had great drainage. I always enjoy playing there. Always a good time.
1st time playing course
This was mine and my son’s first time playing the course and we were very happy we booked the course! It was in very good shape and didn’t hurt it was perfect weather! Will play this course again!
Best bang for buck course
Highly recommend this course. I played it several times. It’s fun and challenging at the same time.

Toby at the Front Desk was an absolute joy to work with and the course layout is one of the best!
#9 Tee Box remains a disaster; such a shame.

There are a ton of leaves on the greens, which made putting difficult at times. I thought they could at least have someone with a leaf blower clear the greens. Greatly appreciated the bottles of water on the course. Overall, it is a nice course but a very tight course. Lots of brush on the sides and in the middle of the fairways. Bring lots of balls with you if your shots are not always accurate.
Inexpensive but poor lay out
Having played thousands of rounds all over the US this is one of the worst layouts I’ve played. It’s no wonder why the course could not make it as a Private Course. 1. Not many would choose to play it multiple times. 2. Its impossible for the Superintendent to maintain it well. The corse was carved out of the hill snd dale with unmowed areas popping up where you can’t see. Forced layup’s due to unmowed areas or severe lies. Thought you drove it down the middle and expect good lie in fairway- guess again you missed the plateau and are in done kind of unnecessary drainage ditch. Many tees are in trees such that it is impossible to grow grass on them. If it rains that week br ready for a very soggy round. The course does not drain well. The pro shop and facility has a particular unpleasant odor, wet rugs - black mold?
The course has 5 sets if tees so it can accommodate long and short hitters.
I played with 3 very nice people who had played the course before and helped me navigate some of the hidden obstacles but I couldn’t get over how many holes they said they didn’t like and my observations agreed.
In the end thu I played fairly well and enjoyed my companion's the course is poorly laid out and not worth the expense for early tee times.
Great place
Started off the day with some rain. The course was in great condition even though a lil wet. Staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back!!!
Great course
It’s fun but challenging. In fall the leaves on fairway make it almost impossible to find your ball. I would kindly request the staff maybe blow them off. Overall I love the course and will keep going.
