Making a good comeback
If you have followed this course since it opened several years ago you'll know that it went through one or two difficult periods. But since the new owners and new staff have taken over the course is making a great comeback. Our group plays here on average one a month and we've watched steady improvement over the past year or two. The tee boxes and greens have filled in nicely and the fairways have are very playable. Give it a try and you'll be pleased with your experience/
better still needs work
Course has come along over the past year. Fairways are still a bit choppy and greens have some work around the edges and tee boxes are far better than last year. Overall course was in far better shape greens rolled well, wish people would fix their divots though. Garmin watch doesn't work at the course and there are very few yardage markers had to figure out how far you need to hit. Not that bad if you can strike a hot deal but know what you are walking into. Guy in clubhouse was very friendly look forward to playing again in a few months see how the course progresses.
Was charge twice one on line and at the golf course on top of that my vehicle got broke into it in their parking lot.
Fun Golf Course
Although the fairways were a little rough, my son and I had a very fun time playing this golf course. This golf course has a lot of potential if they can get those fairways fixed and a couple of the greens. The course is layed out great and my son and I always enjoy playing at Patriots Glenn. The club house is very nice and the entire Staff are always polite and fun.
Get out and play this course. You will have a great time.
very impressed
I've played here at least 6-7 times and the greens and tee boxes were in the best shape they've ever been. The first green was a bit spotty but every other green was awesome. Some of the fairways still have some rough spot issues, but its really improving. They seem to be really putting in the effort to make it a quality course again.
Course has great potential
Great layout , challenging enough even for 15-cap players. Greens are B rating , fairways are C rating, still too many bare spots so 30% I had to move ball on grass for my shot , great practice round. Course has a lot of potential, just don't let it dry out in summer. I would not play in summer here UNLESS I see evidence that they keep it up , still a great course to tune your game for now
Used to play here a lot
stock market crashed in 2008+/- almost brought it down, it's coming back slowly, if owners pump in money it would be a very good GC to play. On May 25, greens were B and fairways are C rated, rough was high due to several days of rain and they could not cut it fast enough. For now I am OK to play here in late Spring and fall seasons. Hoping they maintain its course during summer.
Needs more work
Greens weren’t bad but a little slow. I believe they rolled them but not cut. Some fairways had bare spots and clumps of grass. Great layout but still needs some work and a little TLC.
Great layout, poor maintenance
It is a shame. This course, which I have played and hosted charity events, is a great layout, but it still suffers from insufficient cash to maintain even grass on the fairways. Grass can be found, but in small tuffs between the bare ground. Also greens were aerated recently and bumpy, which we were not told before teeing off.
So much potential
For a course with such a great layout it left a lot to be desired. You were better off hitting the ball into the rough because at least there, you had a chance to have grass under your ball. The fairways were patchy at best. With some money put into the course it could be a very nice place. Definitely needs drainage and work put into the fairways. Greens rolled nicely considering they were recently aerated. Tee boxes weren’t bad either. Definitely disappointed in the fairway condition. Felt like I was being penalized for hitting nice drives because there was no grass under my ball in the middle of the “fairway”.
Great Course.
I held a tournament at this course. The staff was excellent. The service was excellent. The course was in good shape. As soon as the dormant Bermuda grass In the fair ways turns green. This course will look great. Everyone in my 44 person tournament was very happy and enjoyed themselves. The course was very busy, but the staff made time to take great care of us. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to hold a tournament here. Or to play here. I can’t wait to get back out there and play.
Not so great
The course was in awful shape. The fairways were all burnt up like it was the dead heat of summer. Now the tee boxes weren't bad and the layout is very nice. Now I do have to say the greens were in good shape considering the rest of the course. The staff inside were very nice and accommodating. They were busy and they let me tee off the back to avoid the log jam. I've played here about 10 times since they originally opened and I had hoped it had gotten better but it hasn't. I probably won't be back unless the course gets better.
Sloppy
We picked the wrong day to play this course. It was cart path only and the Course barely had a dry spot on it. Our feet were soaked after only 4 holes. Of course the ball did not roll at all when it hit. A lot of times the ball plugged. One good thing I can say about the day was the greens were the best I’ve seen them in two years.
Ashame
The fairways are terrible if there’s any grass at all and the course is completely soaked. I love the layout it’s such ashame the course is in the condition it is I thinks it’s a great course condition permitting.
