One of the Houston area's newest courses, Cypress Lakes Golf Club was designed by Jim Fazio, who carved the course out of the thick pine trees and used a significant number of lakes and bunkers to spice up this mounded track. Four sets of tees provide options ranging from 5,351 yards to 7,024 yards at the tips. In addition to the layout, the experience at Cypress Lakes is enhanced by the impressive driving range, which is complete with target greens guarded by bunkers -- an unusual look for a basic driving range.

Weekday Outing
My wife and I played this course and it was on par for public courses this time of year. The greens were great as were the tee boxes. The fairways were hard and had several bare patches. The sand traps were a disaster due to some heavy rain that fell 2 days before. Regardless, I always enjoy the layout of the Cypress Lakes golf course !!!
A bit weedy
The fairways had lots of weeds and little mounds of dirt. Not sure if it's due to the weather or a maintenance problem. Otherwise the course was fine and the pace of play was very good.
I really enjoyed it
Great course. We had a lot of fun.
Greens are in great condition
Pace of play was great the last time I went. Granted I teed off at 8:15. The greens are in great condition and roll true. The fairways are quite dry but give plenty of rollout. The layout of the course is fun and challenging! The price is slightly more than what it’s worth but overall would recommend!
Friends
This could be an excellent golf course if they’d invest money in the clubhouse. We played on a Friday. They did not have a cart girl. They have very little to choose from inside the clubhouse. Selection of drinks is poor one of our guys ordered a hamburger and it was not very good . we’ve heard rumors that they have sold so we’re not sure whether that’s true or whether they’re just not investing in this golf course Under the right management as close to Houston and surrounding cities this could be in real money maker!
Nice Course
Nice course, speed of play a little slow but beautiful day for golf.
Nice time !
I enjoyed the coarse. Bunkers could use a little work today. Greens and fairways are nice . Wish you could purchase 9 holes instead of 18 . Golf cart return is a bit out of place. But over all nice coarse.
Very overcrowded golf course
Too many guests have the same teatime that backs up the course and people are playing on top of each other. A little unsafe for the immature golfers.
Sad it's closing
Highly recommend getting out for a round before they close for good in March. Front 9 is challenging with all the water. Really nice course for the price.
Wish I had played it sooner.
Winter golf
The greens were in good condition, the bunkers were wet and in bad need of maintenance. The fairways were ok but excessively dried. Your staff was absolutely fantastic, they provided great service and they were very friendly.
Good Houston Course
Good Layout, some challenging areas but overall very beautiful course and fun to play.
Just ok
The greens were full of divots that weren’t fixed, other than that the fairways are in decent shape. We played the first 6 holes with no issues before we ran into another group, then on 10 it started backing up to where we were spending 5-10 minutes on each tee box.
Nice Course - Bring your clubs and fishing gear.
I've played here several times as a guest from So Cal. On this trip, I saw a man pull a big bass out of the lake on the course.
