Myerlee Country Club
About
Myerlee Golf & Country Club began as the dream of a retired New York police officer who moved to Florida in the 1960s just so he could play more golf. His dream eventually became a peaceful retirement community with a beautiful 18-hole course as its centerpiece. The Arthur Hills-designed layout is one of the toughest par-60 golf courses in southwest Florida. There are two streams that cut across the course and intersect on the front nine. They snake along every hole, making water the predominant hazard but there are also several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for. The golf course is mostly open with a few cypress trees dotted along the fairways and greens. Myerlee Golf & C.C. is a course that will test your skills but it isn't overly punishing, which gives it appeal for beginners as well.

Executive Course
Fairways need more grass. Greens are challenging with a vary of slopes. Short course still took 4 hrs.
Not Many Choices
Course is just OK but this is peak season so unless you belong to a club you play wherever you can
Slow
4 plus hours on an executive course is a bit too much. We waited one to two groups on every hole. Four groups were waiting on the first tee.
Gruesome twosome.
Too many twosome ahead of us (at least 3) had the course backed up. On one tee we waited 10 minutes. The twosome made no effort to join together.
Practice short game
The course has made some good improvements over the last 3 years. Greens are good. Fairways are, as most Florida short courses, ok better than some. T boxes are decent. This course in winter months makes golf more affordable for average golfers . Golf prices in general for Fort Myers are outrageous. Inflation, cost of doing business, and influx of golfers adds to the pricing. Will play once a week using golf now hot deal……..
Not much fun!
The course overbooks tee times 5 minutes apart. We had an 11:40 tee time but they had no carts available. We finally got a cart at 12:10 but still had to wait at every hole do to a back up. The course is getting worn from so much play. We got a deal at $49 but this is a $15 to $20 course at best. We will not play here again.
Slow play
Waited 45 minutes after scheduled tee time. We were paired with a scratch golfer which was frustrating for both of us. Course is in fair shape but could use some work. Probably would not play there again.
Over book slow front nine. Back mine was empty empty.
Rushed
They sent us out in front of a men’s league and we were rushed the entire time even out of the parking lot
We will not return.
