About
Myerlee Golf & Country Club began as the dream of a retired New York police officer who moved to Florida in the 1960s just so he could play more golf. His dream eventually became a peaceful retirement community with a beautiful 18-hole course as its centerpiece. The Arthur Hills-designed layout is one of the toughest par-60 golf courses in southwest Florida. There are two streams that cut across the course and intersect on the front nine. They snake along every hole, making water the predominant hazard but there are also several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for. The golf course is mostly open with a few cypress trees dotted along the fairways and greens. Myerlee Golf & C.C. is a course that will test your skills but it isn't overly punishing, which gives it appeal for beginners as well.

Not a bad track to get loosened up
Haven't played in ten weeks soI wanted a place to swing a bit..OK for that.
Good mix of distances and difficulties.
Standout bad feature is very bad condition of several greens. Accurate putting not even possible.
The worst
Don’t waste your time. Brutal crab grass everywhere, horrible greens and tee boxes. Checked in 1215 for 1234... starter who also took my payment (no mask) tells me I’m up and going with 2 others. I tell him I am 1234 .... he tells me it is 1230.... I check my phone and it is 12:21. Charged me 10 for having my elderly father ride shotgun in my cart. You are not to share carts with strangers so this was a bogus charge. He tried to make me pay cash for the shakedown but I gave him my CC for the 10. Worst experience in 38 years of playing muni’s.
The course was fine, but the greens were in bad shape.
Friday Golf
My wife and I had a very enjoyable day of golf. We were paired with a really nice couple.
