Beautiful Greens
I didn't want to leave. Weather was perfect and ended up playing 36. 2nd 18 was $14 for the cart! Couldn't pass it up.
Greens were great
Greens great, course in great shape. Not crowded. I played good too so that always helps a review!!
5 somes really
Had to wait on every hole due to group of 5 in front of us. They never let us through. Slowest pace ever and no marshall ever did anything about them even though he saw us continuously waiting.
Windy day
While it was windy, the course was in good shape and for a change the pace of play was right. A group actually let me play through. Seemed to be a first for this course.
Professional tour?
Groups of 4 to 6 continue to go off. Why it is nice to have friends, it doesn't mean your whole ladies group or men's professionals must go off in one group. Pace of play is horrible. Waited on every hole.
Upgrade
Course was in great shape, and most of all staff has upgraded the sand traps. Sand in traps is being fluffed or racked in such a way as to make them more like a sand trap rather than hard packed dirt. Great improvement.
As usual...one of my favorites in the Baton Rouge area
Greens are true, rough is challenging. Staying in the short grass is where you need to be. My only complaint, some of the sand traps that I landed in were hard as a rock! Hopefully those will get fixed soon.
Slow play
Always slow play. Groups of 4 and 5 think they are professional. They take forever on the greens and when hitting, they take 10 practice swings. What happened to ready golf?
Course is in great overall shape
Course was I great shape except for the sand traps, some of the traps have
Rocks and most are not real fluffy or soft. Traps seem to be hard panned, could be improved with some kind of deep penetrating rake.
Slow play
Slow, slow play. Must think they are professionals.
Slow play
It took a long time to get off of the 1st tee (well over 45 minutes) and it was continuously slow all day long. Too many groups of 4 that think they are pro's and are clearly not (play incredibly slow on the greens and the tee boxes- multiple practice swings and walking down putts). There seems to be too many groups that don't let faster players play through and they definitely don't play ready golf and choose instead to stare and admire who ever is hitting the shot at the time.
Great time
Went to play a round of golf to just get away. The entire course was in excellent condition! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a leisurely pace going and enjoyed my game very much. I will play here again. Tim
Great shape. Beaver Creek is a really nice place to play.
