Bear Creek Golf Club - East Course
About
Bear Creek Golf Club's East Course is considered a tad more difficult than the West, with tighter fairways and smaller greens. Fourteen of 18 holes dogleg, so its label as a target course is accurate. Elevation changes make club selection a challenge, and the par 5s are tough to reach in two. No. 5 stands out on the front: a 385-yarder that doglegs left and involves an approach over water. No. 8 is longer (418 yards) and features water in the fairway landing area and along the right side. On the back, no. 15 is the signature, playing 432 yards and tricky because of the blind approach shot.

Great track
Really like the West course layout...
You have to incorporate course management & are not hitting Driver on all par 4's and par 5's..
Course gives you a lot of different options to think about throughout the course.
A nice change from the same look /same feel tracks that have several littered throughout DFW,..
Looking forward to playing the East course next!
Thanks to the staff for a great outing..
Decent course
Overall not bad the greens were a bit bumpy and needing of maintenance. The fairway and bunkers were in good shape though. Nice course for the location.
Great Course
First time playing and I really enjoyed the course. A nice mix of water and green protection by bunkers. Course was in good shape and pace of play was great (tee'd off at 7AM). Look forward to hopefully playing the West course soon.
Pairing single players on the same cart
I like this course and always enjoyed a round of golf here. This time the starter wanted to pair me on the same cart with other single player. I informed him I may need to leave earlier and do not want to force someone to return to club house early. He insited that I need to pay extra for the single cart. I told him I paid through GolfNow and it does not indicate anything like that in my reservation. He said he is in charge and will report me to the general manager. He was very rude and combative. The management needs to retrain this guy how to talk to customer and be civilized in his job.
Moved to East course
Marshall was very nice and moved me to East course because there were several kids playing and walking on West course.
Greens were a little bumpy everything else was good
First Time Playing West Course in a few years
Played the West course for the first time in over a year. Fairways and greens are in great shape and pace of play was good considering how crowded it was. Will definitely be back soon to play again.
Good, fun course. A little pricey
Played on a Sunday at 10:18, pace of play was great, staff was very friendly, course was in decent condition and good amenities. A few things to work on: bunkers have actual piles of gravel in them, not awesome. New carts are nice, but the geofencing is a bit aggressive. I was also a little surprised that they didn’t offer a small bucket of balls to warm up with, especially at $90 a round, I felt this was a little steep for conditions.
Winter conditions
Had to wait at every hole for second shot. Greens were bumpy and hairy greens. Tee marker colors did not match score card. Card says Silver marker, but course marker was green.
One of my favorite local courses
They really have upped their game at Bear Creek, great course and 19th hole
Good value
Great value for the course layout and time of year. Pace of play wasn’t great though.
Slowest course ever played
Played our round in Five and half hours! Incredible!
Likely a good course in the summer but during the winter - definitely avoid! Not worth the money but watched a lot of planes fly by.
We waited after nearly every shot with no Marshall in sight.
The cart girl definitely made money!
