Bear Creek Golf Club - East Course
About
Bear Creek Golf Club's East Course is considered a tad more difficult than the West, with tighter fairways and smaller greens. Fourteen of 18 holes dogleg, so its label as a target course is accurate. Elevation changes make club selection a challenge, and the par 5s are tough to reach in two. No. 5 stands out on the front: a 385-yarder that doglegs left and involves an approach over water. No. 8 is longer (418 yards) and features water in the fairway landing area and along the right side. On the back, no. 15 is the signature, playing 432 yards and tricky because of the blind approach shot.

Great Course
Great layout and speed of play. Beautiful greens. Well maintained.
Bear Creek Golf Course
We played the West course. The fairways and greens are in good shape. Some very challenging holes. The course is beautiful. I would recommend this course to everyone.
Finally a good pace
My biggest complaint about this course was how slow a round was. On Sunday the pace was good and we didnt get stuck behind any groups of 5 or 6.
The greens, fairways and tee boxes were in great shape.
Old Fairhful
The course is always in pretty good shape. Need to work on the bunkers on the east course. Strongly suggest to rope off part of the course as there is no marshall and people drive everywhere. The course would stay in better shape.
Review of Bear Creek East Golf Course
Great value for roughly $35 golf round.
Extremely well laid out golf course that is
well maintained for a hot Texas Summer!!
A Fun Challenge
The Bear Creek East Course is one of the most challenging public courses in the area. The fairways and greens are in great shape, but the sand traps need attention. Every hole is unique, requiring precise shots off the the tee and onto the greens - a great layout!!
Good round but hot
The course was in good condition, except for the traps. They were hard, crusty and looked like they rarely get raked. They need to be upgraded with better sand. Like hitting out of dirt. They have been like this for several years.
Bear Creek West Golf Course
Course is in great shape. Nice fairways and greens, plenty of shade for the hot days. Very challenging. I highly recommend playing this course. They do need to stock Coca Cola products.
Staff needs help!
I play this course regularly and the front desk staff needs some new faces. They have really bad customer service and they never make people pair up which causes REALLY slow pace of play. Pace of play is an issue that can be avoided with good staff and common sense. Done put a 2 groups of 5 out during prime time and the. A single and a twosome out behind them.
Fun challenging course. We played the West course. Never disappoints. Greens real nice right now.
Awesome course
The layout is challenging, but really fun. If you play there the first time make sure you use some kind of yardage map because many times you would see the flag on the distance and think that there is no hazards on the way. However, many times you would find your ball in the hazard because a creek, a lake or pretty much stuff you wouldn't think is there is actually there. So don't hit the driver every hole if you want to keep your ball!
Great Day!
Decided to play last min Sunday morning and looked on line and they had 9am open for a single.
Place was wide open maybe because of mothers day? Pace was great played in 3.5 hrs course was in great shape.
Staff needs to be prepared for large turn outs
The course was in decent shape and it was the first good day we have had in over a month so you had to know it was going to busy. On top of that they had a massive charity event on the west course and they ran out of carts. My group was one of three that missed their tee time waiting for carts. All I can say is this is not the first time this course has let me down.
