Reston National Golf Course

I always enjoy playing at Reston National. The staff is friendly and helpful and the course is challenging. The course had been in a little rough shape a couple of months ago, but it has come back nicely. Always an enjoyable round!

The course seems to have recovered from the beating it took over the summer. With the better temperatures now, anyone who plays here will have a great and challenging time.

Really nice lay-out. Accessible. 10-minutes between tee times means not over-crowded. Marshal keeps an eye on pace of play. Well maintained for a public course. Challenging but not tricked-up lay-out. Great to walk.

For it being Fall the greens were absolutely horrible and the tee boxes were like hitting out of a fairway bunker.

All the other other courses in the area have great geeens this time of year, but these were the worst by far!

I cant speak to the quality of the more senior staff BUT the youthful starters were treacherous. (Specifically during high covid times) Both young starters were not wearing masks, one touches his face continously and then handed me the cart key, the other yawned into his hand and gave me my scorecard. Neither told me to have the cart back at a specific time, so when I brought it back just after the sunset I was shocked that one of them had the anger to argue with me and tell me that I did something wrong. The group ahead of me was extremely slow and there was no marshaller to keep the pace.

The greens were rotten in some spots and several of greens had dead patchy grass right next to them.
