About

Holes 18
Type Resort/Public
Style Desert
Par 71
Length 6917 yards
Slope 142
Rating 72.9

The Boulders Golf Club & Resort complex features two outstanding 18-hole courses. Both courses are very well maintained, and the scenery is incredible. Boulder's South Course is exactly the type of desert course people come to the Phoenix-Scottsdale resort corridor to play. A round of golf on the South kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 421 yards from the blue tees, which is quickly followed by a short par 3, measuring 150 yards from the blue tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a 545-yard par 5, which is just a warm-up for the 11th hole, a par 5 that measures 601 yards from the blue tees. It doesn't get much easier to finish: The 18th is a par 5 that measures 513 yards from the blue tees.

Fantastic time

I had a fantastic time at the Boulders. I was supposed to play the front 9 on both North and then the South, but the starter asked me if I could play the full South course instead. He said that the North was getting backed up and this would speed up play. Buddy you are singing my song. The south course was in excellent condition. The greens were extremely soft. They felt kind of spongy. Hardly any pitch marks anywhere. Very nice. They putted a little bit slower, but you just have to adjust to the speed. The different selections of tees made the course very fun and challenging. I enjoyed this course very much. P.S. I didn't catch the name of the starter, but buddy you made my day. I absolutely love it when courses make sure pace of play is moving steadily.

Enjoyable

Played the North course. Chased the mowers around most of the day. They were very considerate. An outing was ahead of us that made the back nine 3 hrs; 3 groups waiting on each hole. Even with all that, we enjoyed the experience. We would do it again!

Nice course

Challenging course with greens in great condition. Fairways were only in fair to good condition. Could be due to time of year. Resort course and it had great service to go with it.

Still in good shape

Very enjoyable day/round. The course was in good shape for this time of year. Bermuda not growing in much here and other Valley courses so generally tight lies. It was about 4 hour round beginning at 11:20. Greens a bit softer than usual for this course but in good shape.

Great Shape for Mid-June

The Boulders golf course was in great shape, as expected. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Unlimited range balls were included. The course also has a putting a chipping green. The course is tight in some areas. Overall, the course has scenic views and I would definitely recommend playing here any time of year!

Wanted to play here for a long time.

It’s hot, dry, and we’ve had not rain, so no doubt the course is not pristine, however it is still is great condition. Beautiful course, open but challenging, and a ton of fun. The massive boulders out there make for some of the challenge and much of the beauty. I’ll be back soon.

Wonderful Day

From the Bag Drop until the Club Cleaning the service is always first class. Greens are as good as anywhere in The Valley. Fairways could use a little water, but couldn’t we all. Thanks.

First time playing this course.... Great shape for middle of June. Looking online it looked fairly easy, but in person it was very challenging for all playing abilities. The views were amazing. First rate resort.

Enjoy the view

A great place to spend a week, played the South course twice, staff is genuinely great, warm and friendly, course is in great shape considering the sanding of the greens for this time of year, everything is green that should be, tees are well set up for players of all skill levels, big boy’s get to fly the spoil areas while players who know their skill levels can move up as much as 100 yds, if you can’t shoot straight, they sell balls from the drink cart.

Amazing Views

Course was a little dry, but it was getting aerated, which is why it was affordable, but it was a very fun course layout. If you want the full experience, go when everything is hydrated, but it's quite pricey for that. If the greens don't really matter to you, absolutely take advantage whenever they lower the rates. Also saw a Gila Monster on the course. Extremely cool.
