Rancho Manana Golf Club

Played the course twice this week, both times late afternoon. The course has lots of great views of the mountains and cacti, overall, a very visually appealing course. Playing late in the afternoon seemed to result in slower rate of play due to players ahead of us being relatively new to the sport.

Course conditions overall were good, the greens were in great shape, but the tee areas were only average. There were a lot of wore out areas and it appeared that the tee markers aren't moved very often or else there isn't any effort to overseed to keep the tee boxes green and growing.

The greens don't have a lot of undulation which makes them easier to put on, in my opinion. Approach shots, however, were more challenging than many other courses that I've played on. My wife and I still find the course one of our favorites in the Scottsdale area, so we plan to return next time we're in the area.

Nice day but overall felt let down. I knew it was a course without much length and you need to be accurate off the tee. But not cheap and you arrive having to pay extra for range balls . Range was worn mats and no tees. Pace not bad at start but several par 3’s, a short par 4, and poorly placed cart girl started slowing things down. Group in front of us actually stopped for drinks after 17th green and made us wait on par 3 tee. Classy.

Very few holes where you let a driver rip, and very little room on sides fairways that are inbounds. Course conditions ok and views are memorable, especially on elevated front 9 holes. Hard pressed to think I will hurry back at these rates.

The cold made for tough playing conditions. And, coming from Canada, that’s saying something!

The scenery was fantastic however. A sprawling course with some challenging holes. You frequently have to play target golf so don’t expect to grip it and rip it unless you’re a pro.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

There’s no wifi available for those of us who need it so be sure to download the course on your phone or watch beforehand.

I’d like to try this course again on a warmer day.

This course has too many holes that go way up or down. Some elevation change can be fun but this course over does it. The 4th hole is the stupidest golf hole I have ever seen. That’s not even golf any more. Seemed like every par 3 was shooting down from 50+ feet above. I really disliked this course.

This is a great challenging course. Got caught in a surge in pricing in Phoenix this February so paid more than I wanted to.

Fun but challenging layout. Read the tip sheet on the score card. Target golf with narrow fairways and the smallest greens I’ve ever played. Greens were a little slow but ran true. Some tee boxes were not level and some full of divots. Traps had firm wet sand but very playable. Friendly staff throughout.

We’re snowbirds have been coming out to AZ for the past 8 years and always stay for 3 months in the Carefree / Cave Creek area. We always play Rancho Manana at least 2-3 times during our stay. Great course with great views. Never disappointed. My only concern to note when we played this week is the condition of some of the tees appeared to be burned out. Other than that the course looks great!👍

What an amazing day!! Greeted at our car at bay drop off and given a “lay of the land” and great recommendations for dinner at tonto’s and pro shop hours of operation. The starter was especially friendly and humorous taking some great photos of our foursome. I was a rider only that day due to injury but my husband and our friends enjoyed amazing and challenging golf with best-in-class course conditions; from tee to greens on every whole. We have nothing but the best compliments to the facility, staff, and proshop. We topped off our day at Tonto’s grill. Best burgers we have ever had!!! And we’ve had a lot of burgers over the years all over this continent. Highly recommend the Tonto’s burger and if fries are not your preference, the side salad was delicious and nicely dressed. Whatta find! We will be back for more of your hospitality and great golf. ❤️

Immaculate condition. Greens a little slow but rolled nicely. Busy course but pace was pretty good.

We had a good time on this course with the challenges. We enjoyed the views and had a great time with the the partner we played with.

The course was in great shape and the greens were good shape and true for putting.

A wonderful course and we will return again.

I’ve played Rancho Manana several times and always enjoy it. Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, challenging holes. Wish they could do something about the backup that always occurs at hole 9.

This course is short for women but very challenging. Greens great nice fairways. Great for the girls trip.

This course is in top notch condition. What an awesome desert course.
