Rancho Manana Golf Club

This is not a grip it and rip it course. Short accurate shots are needed to score low. You need to play this course a few times to learn the tricker holes. The lay is not to my preference, but that is my personal opinion. Pace of play was slow. Teed off at 2pm and got 11 holes in.

Challenging course… great views… greens are excellent… enjoy the challenges…. Keep your ball straight and enjoy…

The views are excellent. The course conditions, not so much. Greens were slow and bumpy. All players in my foursome said the same thing. Even if you did read the green correctly the ball bounced on the way to the cup and went all over the place. Tee boxes were not level and completely full of divot marks. Fairways had a lot of thin spots in them, almost like the overseed didn't take or they shorted the amount of seed in places. Overall a quirky course where the driver stays in the bag on most holes. But a nice visual course and the day was perfect..

Marshall did not work to speed up play, several holes in front of us on the back nine were empty with golfers taking numerous shots in front of us..we saw 3 foursomes. I e played this course for 32 years and the pace of play is terrible.

This is a fun course, very scenic with some interesting elevation changes. The fairways are tight and if you tend to spray the ball it 's going to spend the rest of it's life in the desert.

On the day we played I felt that the greens were a bit erratic as to texture and speed, otherwise the course was in nice condition

The course is very scenic, but the pace of play was so slow, we couldn’t finish last 3 holes. Courses should not offer tee times to guests knowing they won’t get finished. I understand we had a reduced rate, because it was a 142 tee time. The course said you should be able to finish, not true. The course had a Marshall that obviously wasn’t trained, because we literally waited on every hole, and on one par 3 , we had two groups in front of us and 3 behind us. Absolutely ridiculous.

Good condition… temp par 3 for par 5 on #16. 30min delay do to frost is what caused the slower than normal pace - Mother Nature. Always super friendly staff and would recommend

This is a narrow and challenging course, but fun to play. The course elevation changes and desert landscape make for some exciting holes of golf. However, the par 5, 16th hole, is currently undergoing what looked like a drainage project and has been modified to now be a par 3. The change turned the course into a par 68. I’d still recommend playing it now but really recommend playing when the project is complete.
