Legend at Arrowhead, The

About
Located in the west valley, the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Piece of crap
Arnold Palmer must be rolling over in his grave. Sand traps (actually hard dirt) are unplayable. Gave the course two chances last week and was thoroughly disappointed. Both days , pace of play horrible. Couldn’t even get in 18. Ducks and duck poop everywhere.
What used to be a decent course is now a large waste of money. Extremely disappointed.
Course Nestled within Beautiful Homes
Enjoyed the course. It was in good condition and fun to play for the first time.
Never Again
I have not played here in over 2 yrs and when I got to the 1st tee I remembered why. They overbook. Pace of play was hit a shot and then wait 10-15 to hit your next one. No chance to get into a rhythm. Over 3 hrs just to play the front nine. Never again. Also there is a lot of goose poop at least on the front nine, I'm sure the back is just as bad.
Self
I am spoiled had no club help at curb. I was not familiar with how things were done. Everyone was nice and friendly.
Nice course but SLOW!
From tee to green the conditions were good. Well maintained and a fun layout. Plenty of challenge from the blue tees at about 6,500 yds.
I only have two negative comments. First was the slow play. They booked over 270 players which caused a 6 hour round. This was very frustrating. Secondly, the sand traps were basically dirt and rocks. Thankfully, I only had to deal with the sand( or lack of) twice but my playing partners were frustrated all day.
One of my favorite for the price
I stay in Scottsdale so this is about a half hour drive. well worth it. Great layout and challenging for the money
More goose crap than grass
The course layout is very good, which keeps me trying this course every year...just to again be disappointed in the maintenance which is nearly non-existent.
The fairway has grass but don’t hold the ball well. If you roll into the rough (meaning zero grass hard pan) it is a real challenge to get a clean shot. Most greens are surrounded by bird crap so you have to carry your wedge onto the green to keep it out of the crap.
There are so many better courses - don’t waste your money on this course.
Course play
Very slow pace. I am not a very good golfer, but we were not able to finish the round. Started early and only finished 14 holes.
Sand Traps
Sand Traps are Horrible...no Sand in them ...more like concrete...need maintenance
Not worth it
Zero bunker maintenance, concrete hard! Took us 5 1/5 hours to finish the round. Not coming back to this course
Legends at Arrowhead
The course is in average to fair condition. The Bunkers are hard and not enough sand. They overpack the course and the pace is slow. It took 5 hours to play the round. For most of the round you are hitting into the wind and that adds to the difficulty. The greens are hard to read but mostly fast.
Super slow
Parking terrible way too small and crowded. Staff friendly and helpful. The speed of play just terrible today. Beautiful day just couldn't finish only played 9 every single hole was backed up.
Slow pace, sand less bunkers.
Horrendous pace of play, no sand in bunkers, bird poop everywhere.
For the Birds
There is soooo much bird poo that is almost us a health issue. The tee boxes have it everywhere and on most of the course. Be sure to bring hand sanitizer.
What a shame considering the natural beauty of the course.
The golf paths are also in disrepair as well as the trash areas.
Course needs help
They use garbage practice balls (use any crap balls they can find). Fairways and greens are good, everywhere else is dead grass and hard pan, and no sand in the greens.
Service
Yes associate by the name of Chad Display quality customer service.
Goose poop everywhere, bunkers were unable to hit out of because no sand and tee boxes were no level.
My round took about 5 and a half hours cause tee times were late and groups ahead of us took too long to traverse each 9 holes.
