Bellair Golf Park in addition to being a good place to practice one's short game it also tests accuracy with long irons. The course aptly tests control over the ball with the irons. Par 4s make up over half the hole at this executive length golf course. Every one of the greens are heavily bunkered and water hazards come into play on a few holes as well. It is close to a residential area but that only creates more narrow fairways, adding more challenge to the game. The course is well shaded and also well maintained, but play can be slow on occasion. Bellair Golf Park offers many discounts, including a twilight discount, a super twilight discount, and there is also an early morning special.

Rome might not have been built in a day but it looks like it (this course) definitely has collapsed in one week

Played here last Monday the course was a little shabby due to the considerable rains the valley has gotten out of the blue this year but upon playing again today a week later it has really got out of hand and seems to have as other reviews noted thrown in the towel hopefully they will be able to get on top of things by the time winter rolls around as I understand they don't make their living during or with Summer golfers

More Work Needed

The course still needs a lot of work. Additionally there are hackers out there who have no clue about golf etiquette.

Great course. Maybe it’s because it’s the summer and they don’t want to kill the greens but they were my only complaint. Really slow and shaggy. Could smash a downhill put and not even make it to the hole lol

Hot weather
Used cart

What a shame.

Last played this course in early June. The condition was really coming along. The greens were perfect.

Flash forward to today. In the last two months, things have really taken a turn for the worse at this track. I read another review posted five days ago that said it shouldn't have been open. I agree.

The rough is over a foot high in places. (It's like they're trying to open a business selling used golf balls!) Huge lakes of stagnant water are everywhere. There are dangerous unmarked sink holes hiding for the unsuspecting cart driver. All tee boxes were in shambles. We had to dodge sprinklers set on full blast for the first two holes.. it was like we were at a water park. Grass has crept into and around all bunkers.. which still have no sand in them. They didn't bother mowing the greens, which are now tragically littered with crabgrass. They didn't even bother to mow the practice green.

It looks like the current ownership has thrown in the towel on the renovation project. Like the other reviewer from five days ago, I don't see myself ever playing this shameful dogtrack ever again.

When the weather got hot in mid June the owners were VERY slow to lower the greens fees. Whatever they did with the money, it really can't be seen on the course in light of today's deplorable display.

Solid

I first golfed here a few years ago, I’d say 2017. It has improved more and more each and every year. I give the course conditions 4 stars because it was a weekday and the tee boxes on some holes were being moved/repaired. That’s all. Pretty solid course. I will say I don’t like how the front 9 and back 9 have been switched upon new ownership, but it’s still fun. Hole 10 is probably my favorite, dog leg right (perfect for a right handed slicer) ((me))

Appreciate the improvement efforts

The course is definitely heading in the right direction , Rome wasn't built over night. "Stay focused".

Worst ever

I thought I would support local golf because I knew owners were trying to make improvements. Honestly, the course should not have been open. The back tee boxes looked to be under construction. However, the white tees and forward tees were in deplorable condition and some did not even have tee markers. There were weeds everywhere, very little Bermuda grass on tee boxes or fairways. The rough had not been mowed in who knows how long, bunkers were as hard as cart paths but had long grass, weeds growing into them. Group in front would not let us play through as they were drinking and getting high but there was not a group in front of them that I could see. When leaving one of those guys was driving down the wrong side of the driveway, on his phone. The new management put out a very poor product and would be better to close the golf course and keep the food truck and the driving range open. I won't be back. Ever.

I don’t get it

The range is cool and it seems like everything is updated, but then you get on the course and it’s clear that something is up… maybe they’re actively working on the entire course, I don’t know, but the tee boxes are mostly weeds, the sand traps are packed down dirt or mud depending on when the sprinklers go off, fairways (where applicable cuz it’s got like 14 par 3s) were virtually nonexistent, and the greens were slow with some of the most ridiculous pin positions I’ve ever seen (on sever slopes, within a foot or two of the edge, etc). I get that 37 bucks for 18 and a cart is usually a pretty good deal, but I felt like I overpaid here. And I had no idea what I was in for because I didn’t see any signage that there was work being done on the course or any indication of what to expect conditions-wise. Maybe I missed it, I don’t know. Props to them for the toptracer range tho, no complaints there.

What a pleasure

My son and I played Belair for the first time. The customer service was outstanding. Jim helped us with the cart, made sure we knew where the range balls were, and gave us friendly advice. Truly a great guy and outstanding employee. Off the the first tee and Ron met us there to check in. Spent a couple of minutes talking about the coarse. Another great person and outstanding employee. We love our golfing experience and the people we met.

Work in progress

Bellair has come a long way since the new ownership, but still has a way to go. The driving range is first class, the greens are great and the pace of play is fantastic when over 100 degrees. Will be playing it again.

Coming along

After the old owner let the course go to the dogs, the new owners are working hard at making improvements to the course. Still a ways to go but so much better than it was. The greens are excellent and still tough. The driving range is the most improved part, along with the really nice landscaping around the pro shop and staging area.
