Union Hills Golf & Country Club
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

Staff run this course like a true country club should for the budget. I will recommend and revisit again.
If you get above the hole, the greens are brutal!! Most greens on this course have a back to front pitch and the conditions are glasslike. It was difficult for all members in our foursome to finish near the hole when we putted from a position above it. I don’t pretend to be a knowledgeable greens keeper but it would seem to me raising the cutting blade just a bit for a few days could slow them down to a reasonable level. Some, not all sand traps could use a tad more sand in them also. If you like a challenge, play this course....
The staff was very friendly. The Brotz were delicious. The pin placement and greens were very difficult. I enjoyed the round.
Thoroughly enjoyed the golf course. Played on a Thursday, got to tee off early, no waiting, pace of play was less than 4 hours. Fairways and greens in good condition, albeit a lot faster than our greens in Alaska. Staff was very friendly. We booked through TeeOff and they had a cart assigned prior to us checking in. The value can’t be beat I would much rather play this course 2-3 times vs the typical $100-$150 rate. Very happy I found Union Hills!
Great value for the money. Not a pushover course and pace of play is excellent. Don't spend big bucks on the big name courses until you have played some warm-up rounds on a course like this.
Better than expected
Thought it would be a goat ranch but was very enjoyable. Good course setup and was in good shape. Tammy was outside cooking and was very friendly and the rest of the staff made us feel welcome. I’ll be back!
I said I would recommend this course but only if they change booking policy. They book every 7 minutes, absolutely crazy. Waited on every tee box. I called clubhouse, who confirmed 7 minutes between tee times and they said a marshal would be by. At the turn found out marshal went home. On the positive, layout was really nice, different and unique holes. Also, some staff members were very nice.
