No carts available
Played here plenty of times and gotten a cart at check in no problem. Can’t get a tee time with a cart and when trying to get one at the shop they don’t have any available. Everyone there brings their own cart and none to use? My partner nearly had a heat stroke walking the course with her bag even with a push cart. Barely made it through 9 and not close to being worth it for the cost. Plenty of other courses around the area
What it lacks in length, it makes up with challenging greens.
I have always enjoyed the pace of play on this course over that of its big brother, Willow Creek. This course can be played with irons only if you want a greater challenge. The greens are designed for a very skilled player. Birdies are a tease.
fun course to walk
fairways and greens in great shape, good course to walk, medium difficulty but .... be careful greens are tricky and fast, my favorite course to walk, will return for sure
Course in Good Shape-S L O W
The course is great. Got behind a very slow twosome that had no concept of pace. They walked- carts always in front of green. Only hit maybe 100 yards but needed to wait for green to clear on par 4. Ahhh !! I ended up circling back and replaying 12-14 and still caught back up to them. Horri!ble!!
A Diamond in the Ruff
Price didn't include a cart. Large bucket of practice balls for 8 bucks. Can't beat this price. Main course was closed due to seeding. This one is a par 3 and 4. Great practice for your irons and very challenging. Had a lot of fun playing here and even though there was only a single player behind us, he didn't rush us. Can't wait to play the other course.
Bring plenty of water
I would implore anyone playing golf in the daytime in Phoenix to bring 3 times more water than you think you can drink! I also brought a mister fan. I will bring an extra battery next time. There may have been 3 other groups on the course with me. Pace of play was not an issue. I played 18 in 3 1/2 hours. I was rushing near the end just to get to the water! I ran out. That could be fatal. That was the reason why there were so few golfers on the course with me.
Don't show up early
we arrived 45 minutes before our scheduled T-time. the lady that checked me in said I could go out in 45 minutes.
I asked her if it would be possible to go out early since nobody else was on the 1st couple holes. She told me I had to wait for my scheduled T-time because I booked thru Golf Now. The only people we saw on the 18 holes we played was a 2 some 6 holes behind us.
Staff doesn’t like Golf Now players
This is second course we have been to that has strongly indicated they don’t like GolfNow players. Yesterday we were early and they didn’t like it. There were 4 to 5 tee times ahead of us empty. Finally they let us go after announcing we were GolfNow players and we were early but they would let us go. We won’t be going back.
Good time every time
Great course to play whenever a deal is available. Very quiet once you get off the first couple holes.
Short game helper
Most holes par 3 but the greens are still challenging with plenty of movement.
Terrible pace of play
2 groups playing 5s and 6s making it painful for the groups behind.
Ok at best!
The visit started with the lady in the pro-shop. She was clueless in nearly anything I asked her. Told me I wasn't booked and after showing her on my phone she oh geez I'm on the wrong day. And on it went. The course was fair at best. Tee boxes were chopped up at best.. The greens were the best part. As we turned on 10 there was a foursome of "elderly" walkers who just appeared in front of us. To say they were slow would be an understatement. No marshal and I certainly wasn't calling the lady inside. Just an overall , I would never go back for sure. What a debacle.
