Desert Sands Golf Course

I have come across many unorganized courses but Desert Sands had really out done themselves when it comes to being unorganized and having unfair treatment. Me and my buddies went golfing for my birthday so we decided to go early and hit a few balls at the driving range while we wait for our carts. My buddies are new to sport so they kept asking questions to the worker in the shop, off the bat he was rude. Our tee time was at 1:51 and we didn't hit our first hole til 2:45. While waiting to hit our first hole they shove a random person in our party without asking or consenting to us. On top of that they made two carts that were behind us hit before us just because they could tell my buddies were beginners in the sport. Please take it from my experience, if your trying to bring friends or family to golf and have a good time, this is not the place. I would recommend Dobson Golf Ranch, overall great experience.

Overbooked by at least 3 parties. 5 min wait per hole and people riding us the whole time.

Played with some great guys and had good time with playing a great game!!!!

Course is in great shape since over seeding. Greens are much faster than the last time I played

Wife and I played this course while visiting Mesa We are here for a month and will make this our home course. Price is right my sister and her partner joined us and had to rent clubs. With the rentals they received balls and tees for the price of the rentals. Staff are very friendly and the beer cart is very reasonable price for drinks

Played all by myself at the end of the day. A single. 9 had my son with me, he wasn't playing. Upon arrival I was charged 43 dollars for a tee time that was 29 on golf now. Then she has the nerve to pull me off the tee box to tell me I have to pay another 12 for my rider. Listen if its slammed and I need my own cart I get it. It was dead! I had the tee time to myself. It's pathetic that they would charge this. I have been going to the sands for 5 years now at least 20 times a year. I'll never be back. There is way to may other courses that would gladly take my money and not be dicks for no reason. Just ashamed at how stupid and ignorant people can be.

Overseed is gone and 90 degree rule for golf carts is in place. The conditions are getting better everyday.

The fairways are a little long but are being mowed and the greens are are a little slow but improving each day.

This is a good course to walk if you can.

They seem to have newer golf carts that are really nice. The dash board on these carts are very well designed. Lots of room for all kinds of things.

Desert sands golf course has and is continuing course improvements. Give it a try!

Perfect weather, very good course layout, but cart path only this time if year and letting fairways get to be over grown with height is a pain, but nice time meeting new people also.

Course is getting better after over seeding. Greens are slow because they are not rolled and cut short but I expect this will be taken care of as we start the new winter season. Still cart path only at present but overall an enjoyable exec. Course

With the reseeding, the greens were slow and held the ball great. Greens are domed and its usually hard to hold the green, but they were in excellent shape as were the fairways. Shot under my age!!
