Heron Lakes Course at Leisure World Golf (previously known as Executive at Leisure World Country Club) is one of two courses at the club, the other being the Coyote Run Course. They are both 18-hole courses and although the Heron Lakes Course is less demanding and shorter than its sister course, it still provides a good game especially for juniors and beginners. Heron Lakes Course, like the Coyote Run Course, has greens that are quite large. Water bunkers come into play on a few holes and there are also sand bunkers situated throughout for some challenge. The Leisure World Country Club also offers golfers a driving range as well as chipping and putting areas.

Saturday am shotgun start
This has been the third week in a row that we come out and play this course on a Saturday morning. They have a 7am shotgun start. It doesn’t get overly crowded so you’re never waiting on holes. Fairways and greens are taken care of. The green scenery around with trees and bushes does make it feel a little secluded and you can feel the privacy feeling that the members have during the winter months when the course is closed to the public. For the price of 19.99 through golf now. You’re not going to beat the value for the experience you’ll have at Heron lakes…!
Cool Execute Course, address is wrong
Address was wrong from golfnow, enter from Power and security will have proper directions to course. Staff seemed unhappy with "outsiders" (they're private but have randomly opened up tee times to golfnow). Heron Lakes was a great course with nice big trees to hide from the heat. Layout was nicely created and greens were in good condition.
There are many better courses in the area
I booked the re time via golf now, which was easy and informative. When I arrived at the course the employee at the desk seemed indignant that I booked via golf now. She then asked me if I wanted a cart! I said that I did and she then charged me another $20 on top of the green fee that I already paid. She then started to pitch me to buy a membership! The course was in terrible shape. Bald spots on the fairway, very deep grass of the fairway. I concluded that the golf course must be in financial distress otherwise they would not try and overcharge for the fees. All other courses in the area include a cart with the green fee. No reason to ever play here again. Terrible management. I am a resident in the Leisure World community.
Over rated
After paying online for 18 holes, I arrived at the pro shop only to learn that I had to pay another $20 to rent a golf cart. Other courses are not like that. The total cost was not worth the play. Very disappointed.
