Superstition Springs Golf Club
About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Way too slow
Oh dear. Can’t recommend at all. Over 5 hours on such a short course. Waited in every hole.so many players who hadn’t a clue on how to hit the ball never mind pace of play. Players sharing clubs! Not good.
No buggies available for our tee time. Had to wait for players coming off the 18th to use theirs.
Quirky front nine but much better layout on the back nine.
Condition generally poor. Tee boxes need a lot of attention.
No course Marshall to be found in 5 hours of tortuous waiting.
Finished just before darkness fell. No bathroom facilities available. Everything locked up.
Staff in Pro shop and starter very friendly and welcoming. But 260 players on the course with tee times every 8 minutes isn’t fun.
Great technical course. Greens are fast and fairways in good shape. No food in carts and quick snack at turn was closed at 2. You can go in and buy something but that's a 10 to 15 minute ordeal. But that is my only criticism and it was not golf course related..
Not what it used to be.
Played this course 10 plus years ago. What happened??
The course is in good condition
Round was fairly slow. 4 1/2 hr weekday round. Layout was pretty good with a couple of bizarre holes thrown in. There are definitely better courses around for not much more money. I would recommend this course if the cost was sub $90.
Desert Golf
Course was in good enough shape, greens rolled well. My biggest complaint is, being new to the course, there were no maps. None on the score card, no GPS in the carts, nothing. We were flying blind. That took away from my experience. Not sure I would golf here again….
Painfully slow
We were told by the starter that our round wo I ld be d one in 4 to 4 1/2 hours. He said there was a ranger out there that would ensure that happened. There was no ranger anywhere. The round took 4hrs 50min there's no excuse for that to happen. There are many other places to play in a normal amount of time.
Fun course
I had 3:24 tee time but didn’t get there until 3:40. The pro shop guy got me started right away. From reading many reviews here about slow pace. Surprisingly, I didn’t get to see anyone in front of me until hole 13th. But it wasn’t much of a wait; about 2-3 mins max. I guess I I might have got lucky on that day.
Definitely play again soon.
Slow, slow and did I mention slow?
Had a 1:08 tee time, sunset was 5:36 with last light at 6:05….we had to quit after playing only 14 holes. Management needs to figure that out.
Consistent
This course is in poor condition, has a shortage of carts and no in course ranger helping the pace of play. Will not return.
Slow pace of play, slow greens
Tried this course again because of proximity to family… pace of play was terrible ( 2 hours, 45 min back nine). No marshal seen all day!! Green were very slow, almost unplayable……won’t be back
Challenging but fair
Course was in great condition and provides for challenges at all levels of players. Friendly staff and pace of play
Great conditions
Conditions were great. Greens were a little slow but ended up speeding just a bit as they dried out. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pace a play was definitely slow. But it was a busy Saturday so I get it.
