Painted Mountain Golf Club
About
The Painted Mountain Golf Club is a challenging desert-style course with a variety of different tees to accommodate every age group and skill level. The course offers a lengthier challenge from the first hole, a par-5 dogleg right, to the last, which requires an approach shot over water in order to reach the green. The Painted Mountain Golf Club, in addition to the course, is also home to the John Jacob's Golf School.

Golfer Reviews
Pace of play
The pace of play horrible, the ranger told me they have tee times set to every 7 minutes. We sat after every shot.
Great condition, unique design, good value
The design is crazy. #1 par 5 & #2 long par 3. This causes a large backup right away. But after you get to #3 suddenly none of the holes seem too tough. Back nine is noticeably shorter than the front.
I LIKE that they have plush rough around the greens because I think it's a fun part of golf
Overall it is one of the better of the middle of the road golf courses
Ridiculously slow play
We were backed up from the first hole on. They started us 10 minutes late and we proceeded to watch a minimum of two groups in front of us tee off on every hole on the front 9. It was down to only watching one group tee off on every hole on the back nine except 18. 2 guys in the group in front of us quit after 9. The marshal did try, but there was no reason it should take this long, the courses is pretty straightforward.
Good value but slow play and crabby starter
Course was in great shape and it was a good value for the price, but be prepared for a 5+ hour round and verbal abuse from the starter. He was very rude when you asked questions and he was bad at his job as we started 10 minutes late for a 7:20 tee time.
Slowest round ever
First off we started 15 minutes late and took a little over 5 hours to get through 15 holes. Not to mentioned sitting in 100 degree heat between holes. Not good
Nice conditions
For the mid-to-high handicapper this is a course that gives you your money's worth. The greens were very good, as well as the fairways. Friendly staff and good food.
Terrible customer service
Went to play with a foursome (and my mother, a fifth to hang out) when we asked for a 3rd cart we’d happily pay a cart fee for, we were told no. Apparently they don’t allow 3 carts together and split is up into a threesome and a single. Play was extremely slow by the second hole so we grouped up to help with pace of play. We were then met with hostility about not paying a rider fee and was told we would be dealt with when the round was over. We ended up splitting up again and we’re continually harassed About not allowing three carts in one group. Overall, staff was very angry and short tempered for no reason. Will never play here again.
Great morning at Painted Mountain.
Went to painted Mount as a single came home with a couple of friends and a great morning of golf. Of course is a fantastic shape. Staff is amazing and the food is fantastic. Keep the fire burning! WPPOllc.com
Great valus in the east valley
The course is in good shape and the staff are friendly. The pace was a bit slow ending in a 5 hour round, but the staff did step in multiple times to get groups moving.
Weirdest Course I’ve ever played
Went to check in for my round and grab a couple beers. One of the staff says they can’t sell beer but can sell white claws, weird but what ever. I go practice putting before the round(no driving range). Another guy comes out and says I can get beer after all. Great, I go to swap out my white claw and half way back to the cart they chase me down and say no beer after all. The snack shack lady said she couldn’t even sell white claws. Zero cart girl making rounds. Half the reason I golf is to have a couple of beers with my buds. Weird place, weird people. Ran terribly which is a shame because the course was decent and pace of play was just fine.
Not worth 100 a round
Greens were in great shape fairways not bad but the par 37 front and par 33 back is a little strange but for a 100 bucks there are plenty of better course.I would say it's a 70 buck a round course.
Sub Mid course
No driving range. No booze. Slow af and got out in a cart with a random while there were 30 empty carts sitting. Place sucked
The course looked great
For spring golf, this course was marked on the “ cheaper” side for cost, but the course was in great condition.. very green. The greens were a bit fast. Pace of play was good. On a Saturday it took 4:15 to play 18. We would definitely recommend this course.
Best shape ever
Played PT MT many times over the years best shape ever. Good value for the money however now in March getting pricey !
