Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Las Sendas Golf Club's course, opened in 1995 and among the toughest U.S. courses. Two Zagat surveys have ranked it among the top 50 U.S. golf courses.

Las Sendas Golf Club offers a desert course demanding top play as it takes golfers through the Usery Mountains, with a vista of Phoenix as the tradeoff for managing rough land close to 1,800 feet above the desert. Jones didn't create a course with whimsical decorations like railroad ties, and he didn't build targets. The golf course is for those who strategize, mapping the way from tee to green.

After a round at Las Sendas Golf Club, head to Las Sendas Grille, for the full bar, including wines from California, Australia and Europe, as well as four tap beers and domestic and imported bottles.

No obvious complaints - decent overall!

Greens and overall condition were good, layout is typical resort style ie squeezed in between the houses meaning hole layout often a secondary consideration. Definitely a few quirky holes - definitely not auto big stick off the tee on every hole. If you spray it off the tee could be long and expensive day! Greens are pretty small and often elevated. So its not that easy as such. I'm a low single digit handicap golfer for perspective. Great views of the entire valley/city! Worth a visit overall I would say if you can find a reduced rate (like we did) as i would say the regular rate is a little rich given the layout!

Awesome course!!!

Fantastic course to play, really fast greens (I’m a fan of that). Course layout is great, lots of very nice scenery views to be had. Staff was A+. I’ll definitely be playing here again.

Las Sendas

Outstanding course. Layout is spectacular and course is in great shape.

Friendly staff, particularly the starter Misty. Overall a

Strong option if you’re looking for a premium course. Only slight wrinkle is that food options and limited and what they have is overpriced.

Elite PHX Metro course

Not cheap but definitely upper echelon in layout, views, aesthetics, conditioning, and greens. This doesnt get the attention it deserves. I was impressed and will be back in future visits.

Las Sendas

A little off the beaten path, but a must play course in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Beautiful course with 5 tees, stretching from 5500 to over 7000 yards. Starter was friendly and explained a lot to first-time our group. Bag drop and pro shop staff were friendly and helpful. Driving range was mat only, but still good. Course was open - you can tailor the difficulty to your game. Lots of wildlife - roadrunners, jackrabbits, hawks, etc. Up in the hills, so the views were magnificent. One of my favorites.

Las Sendas

Nice course. Small greens. Had one of the firdt tee times and we were on a good pace until we made the turn. They put groups out in front of us on the back that we waited on for almost every shot. Very nice Course. Definitely playable.

Were the ladies tees an afterthought?

Course was 5 out of 5 for me but only 3/5 for the wofe. The ladies tees are the same as the whites on almost all the holes with only a couple where they were appropriately distanced.
