The golf course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club is a beautifully designed layout set against a desert landscape with rock formations, mesquite trees, and cacti. Pete and Perry Dye designed the course, combining both beauty and challenge. This championship course was built on rolling terrain and has large, sharply contoured greens and extensive mounding that is reinforced with railroad ties. There are not only deep sand bunkers but also grass bunkers protecting the greens. There are also four ponds on the course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club, but only three create water hazards that come into play on four holes. A notable hole on the course in which water comes into play is the sixth, a hole that has a peninsula green with water surrounding it along three sides.

Really enjoyed this course

Pete Dye layout which if you know can be a challenge. Course definitely makes you think about what club to use. Was in good condition. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course and it was my first time.

Not worth the money

This course has a great deal of potential? Beautiful layout however, the pace of play was extremely slow. There were numerous single players on the course and no ranger present to manage the flow. Additionally, many of the boxes were not numbered, which caused some confusion. Some areas of the course have also seen better days and would benefit from additional maintenance and manicuring.

I originally had a 12:57 tee time but called to move it to 1:37. Upon arrival, I stood in line for more than 10 minutes while staff assisted another guest with setting up an email account, which delayed my start until nearly 2:00 p.m. Despite the later tee time, I was still charged the 12:57 rate of $79, even though the 1:37 rate was $59.

A good find

I have been making a stop at RMRCC every year that I am in the valley for the last eight years. It can always be counted on to be in good shape, and the staff is super friendly. They are flexible to make sure you get a good experience. From check in with Sean ( a was running late and he made sure I was put right out) to starter, to bar staff- all excellent. The ice /water machine at the shop is also greatly appreciated. Greens were what I thought just a touch slow, but I am good with that. They rolled true and the rest of the course was in good shape after overseeing. This is actually not Pete Dye steroids, but it takes a few rounds to know exactly where to hit. Play the round in three hours as a single, after playing through the nice ladies group on the back nine. Overall a very nice course!

Red Mtn

Great place. Even though scalping was starting, the course was in great shape. Never played until that day. Found it challenging and fun. Nice course.

Good value.

Greens were in great shape. Some tee boxes need work. Fairways missing grass in a few spots.

One of the best values in the East Valley right now for this time of

I played a lot of courses in the east side of Phoenix and this right now is the best value out there. It was one of the only courses that wasn’t charging fall pricing in the middle of summer. That’s insane normally as a resident during summer you get the benefit of TPC or Greyhawk at a great rate not $150-$200 still in August. That’s shameful. Not here. Course was in great shape. Staff was amazing. Can’t wait to play again.

Pete dye what a guy

Tough course definitely not somewhere to take beginners. Target golf and not many flat lies even in the fairway. Always a challenge but very rewarding.
