Red Mountain Ranch Country Club
The golf course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club is a beautifully designed layout set against a desert landscape with rock formations, mesquite trees, and cacti. Pete and Perry Dye designed the course, combining both beauty and challenge. This championship course was built on rolling terrain and has large, sharply contoured greens and extensive mounding that is reinforced with railroad ties. There are not only deep sand bunkers but also grass bunkers protecting the greens. There are also four ponds on the course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club, but only three create water hazards that come into play on four holes. A notable hole on the course in which water comes into play is the sixth, a hole that has a peninsula green with water surrounding it along three sides.

Not a long course however elevated greens with many tiers and breaks make this a very challenging course.
Love this place!
Play here all the time and it is in great condition! Lil pricey if your paying rack rate but so is everywhere during season in Phoenix Valley. I would recommend anyone to check it out. The yardage on the card is deceptive. It plays alot longer than the card shows. The slope and rating aren't extremely high but it definitely plays much longer than posted yardage.
First off the tee. Course is in good shape. Not long but challenging around the greens. Greens were a little slow. Be ready for 16, 17, and 18.
Nope. Not again. Clever design, kinda of. Entirely unreasonable design at times? Yep. But for more than $100 per round, there had better be at least a trace of sand in the bunkers. I can forgive a golf course that costs half the price and has less than average bunkers. This was stupid.
Nice Pete Dye course
This was my first time at Red Mountain Ranch, and will be back. The grounds were in good shape considering the reports of the recent rains. The staff was consistently cordial and helpful. The pace of play was good. While the course privets the typical challenges of a Pete Dye layout, it was also approachable enough to provide a good experience for my beginner 18yr old son (playing for jus 6 months), and my recently introduced to golf spouse.
Very nice course, must be accurate and able to shape your shots. The greens were relatively slow for a course as nice as this one ☹️
