The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. There are plans for redevelopments into a residential area.
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

Nice course
Nice course great staff just not in good condition now. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
Works ok
Fairways are not quite ready. Lost a few balls in the tall rough
Great round
The course is good condition, lots of players out today.
Patchy
The course is still cart path only which always makes for a difficult round. The rough is deep so it is really helpful for playing partners to watch your ball - unfortunately, we were all walking to our balls while others were hitting. Lost balls were the result - very frustrating. The fairways have not grown in well. There's lots of mud because the grass has grown in strips. The greens are very slow and bumpy. I suggest you wait a few weeks before playing here.
Not ready for prime time
This is a good course with great potential. Today was not that day. Rough was rough- really wet and long. Over seeding was pretty shoddy. Fairways and greens were wet and soggy. The greens were rough and sandy. I’ll be back but not until the course has grown in better.
It's okay.
The fairways are bumpy and rotted from whatever they used to overseed. Greens aren't in great shape.
opened too early
This course opened from over-seed too early.
The staff said they knew the course was not in the best shape but it needed more water.
What it really needs is more seed and time.
The method they used to lay the seed resulted in rows of grass not a uniform distribution of seed. Plus tons of bare spots in the fairways. Re-seed the course using a broadcast spreader and wait at least another two weeks to open.
This is a fun course when it's maintained properly.
Also the greens were way too thin, with bumps and depressions. It was like putting on sand greens.
Avoid this course until you see better reviews.
Course always in the past was great.
This time a bit muddy n bare spots.
Fun quick course
It’s a great course for a quick game of play. Staff is friendly and the course is well maintained.
Buddy came to play
Great day! Our buddy hit an eagle and I got my second birdie of the day. The play was a little slow though
Nice day of golf.
First time playing the course. I enjoy the layout of the course as it had a lot of dog legs and hole lengths which force you to think about your shots from the tee and enable you to effectively use every club in the bag to properly place the ball for your next shot if you want to score decently low. It evens the playing field between long ball hitters and shorter players which makes for a good and competitive time.
Beware the Cups
I like this course--it is a fun and challenging track that is in fine shape--lush fairways with greens that roll consistently and have no damage on them. HOWEVER the one issue I had today and on multiple greens was with the cups--I had more than one putt that rolled backward at the lip as the cups were not set deep enough. I'm not expecting a cup to be down and give me an extra downhill finish but I am expecting the cups to be level with the putting surface. This cost me strokes today and it was frustrating and others in the group concurred with the issue.
Very good value
Had great time, early t-time made this a great experience. Thank you.
Morning round
Had a great time playing an early morning summer round. Usually don’t play in the heat anymore, but really enjoyed it.
Mostly a good experience
The Links is reliable. Great staff, good course conditions, and scoring friendly for the older club player. Usually play this course at a very good pace. Not today. On front nine we were behind a VERY slow foursome. Waited 5 minutes on every shot. After five holes two full holes open in front of them. Marshall had our group play through on 10th tee. In the end, all worked out. There was a problem and the staff took care of it. Can't ask for more. Will certainly play again but next season for this snowbird.
Poor Job w/Virus Proofing
Water buckets easily transfer virus.
Holes need to have cylindrical sponge so you can pick out ball w/backside of putter.
Saw many groups removing flags while putting.
NOT GOOD.
Course management has to think things through!
