Toka Sticks Golf Club
About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Great day golfing
Course was in great condition, it was a warm day but the pace of play was good !
Open layout but grumpy staff
Was surprised as to how unprofessional and grumpy the cart girl was (or that im event taking time to mention it). She drove up on us 2x as we were teeing off (towards us in the direction we were hitting). Maybe it's her first day on the job. Also, the "no cooler rule" despite showing I only had water and granola bars, claiming they have water on the course. Wrong, the coolers were empty, and when addressing with the snack bar, she just shrugged her shoulders. If you make someone take their soft cooler of water back to your car, you should keep the water containers full. Won't be back as it was not a value for $100.
good condition, easy walk
Course is in overall very good condition. greens are fairly quick, bunkers could use more sand
Fun Round
This is my son and myself second time in three years playing here while visiting Phoenix. Great time fun venue and friendly staff. I recommend this as a fun day of golf. Pace of play good, greens undulating and challenging!
Great time
Had a great time. Grass conditions are excellent and greens very good. We finished in 4 hours. Course is very flat but green complexes are built up and well done. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
Great time! Great golf!
I visit AZ every winter, first time playing at Toka, and it was awesome! For the price, you just can’t beat it. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Toka staff🙏🏼
Not worth the money this time
Course is in good shape pace was slow and Marshall knew but could not get it moving. And really not worth the 120.00
Fun round
Greens were really good. Layout is flat but trees and green complexes make it lots of fun. Staff really friendly and helpful. Nice course for the money.
Course is great, Ranger was a total jerk
Paid over $300 to play with my son in law and my son. To be fair I will say that my original reservation was only for 2. Nearly 8 holes in my son called to see if he could possibly join us for the back 9. I went in and spoke to the pro shop attendant and he was great and said yeah and that we could let the next group pass and slide in behind them. Fast forward a couple holes and this Ranger comes up barking at us for playing out of position and proceeds to tell me we are slowing everything down and even after explaining the situation he continued to give attitude. I reminded him how much I also paid to be here and that his attitude sucked, he then threatened to kick us off the course. Customer service skills go a long ways. They need to remember how much golf costs and be way nicer to paying golfers
No net?
There is zero protection from the driving range on Hole nine or from Hole 10. That’s crazy.
1 hour in, still on 4
No Ranger on the course and had to call to get the Ranger out, stacked and stacked. Over an hour in and unable to tee off on five. It would be one thing if the course wasn’t 100 bucks a round.
