Toka Sticks Golf Club

First time playing here, and I was pleasantly surprised. They’re getting ready to overseed, and he greens could use a little work, but all things considered, I had a great time.

The layout is open, fair, and fun to play. The staff was excellent, the pace of play was great, and we finished our round in just 3 hours.

Overall, a really enjoyable experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Great course for the summer price as most courses have closed for reseed.

Was able to get in a quick morning Wednesday round in under 3.5 hours as a foursome. I grew up playing this course and it was in some of the best shape I have ever seen. Green were rolling true, quick and still soft to hold the ball. Fairways were cut well, but would like to see more sand in the bunkers. Very firm under the surface sand. Hole #13 (par 3) needs the reeds in the water cut down as it’s almost blocking the entire green visibility. Aside from that was an absolute pleasure to play before they close for overseed in a couple weeks.

Grass was tall throughout most of the course and cut unevenly around many greens.

Course is in excellent condition. A few months ago the well issue caused a Sahara Desert 🏜. This problem has been resolved and the conditions were very good for this time of year. Playing again soon.

Overall great day on a very nice golf course. Enjoyed the entire 18 hole layout. Staff was friendly and courteous. Services from check in until finish were super.

Played yesterday after reading reviews of greens being punched 16 days ago thinking it would be in shape to play, However, greens were punched a second time and putting was like playing a game of Plinko. Sometimes it bounced toward the cup and sometimes it bounced away. Cart guy said they are punching again in two weeks so stay clear if you don’t want the hassle!

The course was in good shape, however the greens were a challenge. Not only they we’re aerated, but the holes weren’t filled in with sand😜

Pace of play was ok, we’re were delayed on a few holes due to slow play by the foursome in front of us. NO Marshall ever seen on the course, however the beverage girl did come by 4 times ( 2 on the front 9 and 2 times on the back nine😀

Fix the greens and get a Marshall to keep the pace up and I would of gave it a 5

I have to mention first that I missed or didn't see the aeration statement on website. Got the course this morning and walked up to the practice green to see the green punched and not to sanded and the starter said yeah about a week ago they did it. The Greens were very very bumpy and you just putted it at the hole and hoped for the best. Fairways and around were sparse of grass and uncut in other areas, really not a very much resemblance of a golf course and what the course is 73 years old it looks it. 55.00 for this course is ridiculous. all course with aeration and summer conditions should be 25-35 dollars tops. So many courses in AZ are beyond subpar I am really tired of it. I don't want to hear the word transition anymore.

This the course was great to play me and my son enjoyed our time. We played pretty fast and was able to finish in three hours. I even got a birdie on a par five I believe it was a whole 16 or 17.

For it to be Summer, the course is in great condition.

Course was in a good condition, well, maybe some part of the greens that doesn’t have grass right now, just some patch of dirt. But overall, nice and good course!
