The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. There are plans for redevelopments into a residential area.
Set in a private, gated golf community located in Queen Creek, The Links at Queen Creek is not a typical Arizona desert course. Most of the course including the signature third hole, features ample trees, grass and water. This Sam Wese design, which opened in 1994, features four sets of teeboxes to accomodate everyone from low-handicappers to novice golfers. The Links at Queen Creek is a popular host course for tournaments, as the staff is skilled in event planning, execution and promotion.

Pretty course
Food server was rude but apart from that the entire experience was great , and everyone else was friendly . Pretty course , a bit wet at 6:30 am but I guess that’s needed to be so green in this heat .
Well maintained.
Superb
Val and the staff at The Links at Queen Creek should be commended for the great course and friendly customer service they provide. One of our favorite course in the Greater Phoenix Area.
Easy. Short. Good conditions...
Played The Links at Queen Creek as a single around 12:24 pm off GolfNow for $22 Friday May 8th. This course located in San Tan/Queen Creek off Ironwood and Ocotillo presents itself pretty hidden behind a shopping plaza and Big O Tires. Off the bat, it kind of feels like an old-school municipal course with the parking lot and grill patio/bar situation going on when you walk up. Carts were a plenty with sanitized pre-cautions and the customer service inside sufficed. I was given a course booklet and was on my way. *To note, there is no driving range, just a few mats that direct into a net but there was a decent putting green adjacent to the first tee with 4/5 holes to warmup*
The course is very short, at 5787 from the tips and only 5172 from the forward's men tees at a par 70...the USGA won't be bringing the US Open here anytime soon. The tees were all pretty well lined and trimmed, nothing outrageous as far as divots or being unlevel. The fairways were manicured and had an aesthetically pleasing stripping to them. The rough was rather minimal; notably longer than the fairways but nothing penal and fear inducing from hiding your ball if the fairways were missed. The bunkers were in good condition however there aren't a ton out there. The greens were rather amazing, very smooth and playing difficult (fast and rather firm, though a solid wedge shot or iron will have some bite). The aprons and everything lining the course (trees, water, etc.) were free of substantial eye sores and didn't obstruct play in any way.
Upon my first play, the front nine was where you have to score as there was two par 5's and some rather tame par 4's. This whole course isn't long except one par 3 from the tips however I did use every club in my bag and I was definitely challenged by it's greens whether it was to put my approach shots pin-high or to keep from three putting every green. I wasn't ever bored to say the least. It's an easy course that's short and in present conditions...in good shape.
You won't be astounded by its elevation changes or architectural width but it will be a fun day out in the sun for a good rate.
Nice flat course for older golfers to play
1st time playing the Links with a friend down from Illinois on vacation. I retired to San Tan Valley a couple years ago and have driven by this course a lot just never played here. We were paired up with 2 older gentlemen who play here quite a bit so they helped us on some tee shots where to try and hit to in the fairways. Only complaint was the greens were rock hard and even hitting just short of most of them or landing in the front portion of the greens the ball rolled to the back or off the back!
Love this course! Not only for the course but the wildlife and lots of shade! Course had many challenging holes.
Fun day with friends!
After being cooped up for a while, nothing better then getting out on the course with friends!! Beautiful day! This is a great course that is close to home and pretty easy to play.
Our round at the Links
1st time playing here so it was very nice the starter lady gave us the course layout book. The course is flat so was great for me cuz I was playing with a bad back. We paired up with 2 older gentlemen who play there a lot so we received some good information on a few holes. Course was in very good condition and only complaint we had was the greens were rock hard and my partner was hitting good approach shots hitting the greens and rolling off the back on over half the greens hit in regulation!
One of my favorite courses
Friendly staff, great course for stepping up to 18 from 9 that might usually play.
We felt safe
We felt safe with the safeguards they have in place. Course in good shape.
Very peaceful beautiful flowering trees. Lots of wildlife.
It was very pretty there this morning. So happy we played. Course in great condition.
Friendly Staff
The staff in the pro shop was great. When we got there they informed us of all the specials they were having for Cinco De Mayo. They had food and beer specials and a lots of clothing on sell. They kidded with my wife that she should buy a bunch of stuff and spend my money. They had a plexiglass barrier up at the counter to protect the workers and the customers. We were able to get out a few minutes before our tee time. The course was in good shape and we all had a great time.
Great morning at the Links
Perfect morning at the links. Pace of play was a little slow but tolerable. I'll be back!
