Ranch at Tonto Verde Golf Club
About
The Ranch course at Tonto Verde Golf Club is the newer one, this golf course designed exclusively by Gary Panks, who laid it out over 6,988 yards, upon which it has played host to several golf events at the professional and amateur level since it opened in 2002.
The Ranch golf course at the Tonto Verde Golf Club serves power golfers due to the distance, though it will certainly test those who golf a good short, thanks to big greens that are bunkered well and slope, too.
The Tonto Verde Golf Club offers stay-and-play packages for those who don't want to lodge themselves too far from the Peaks and Rancho golf courses. Pets are generally welcome, and the minimum stay is only three nights.

Great layout
Fun course and in great condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. The practice facilities are great here. Its a drive but it was worth it to me. Ill be back to play the other course here.
the course is coming in after overseeding
greens are a little slow but due to get better by the end of the month.
Good value in Phoenix
The course was getting ready for reseeding shutdown so appeared dry but was still playable.
Nice vistas on course and at 50$ seemed like a good deal in phoenix.
The staff was friendly and we were fortunate to get paired with a single that knew the course well and was able to help us.
Pace of play was excellent and we had no issues.
We would play it again.
Great course worth the trip to play!
This course may be a bit out of the way but it is definitely worth the drive to play. Fairways & greens were in great shape. Some very challenging holes but luckily I played with a local who gave me a few tips about where not to go! Pace of play was great. Only current issue is that the driving range is only open at the far side which is quite a way from the 1st tee so allow extra time to warm up if you want to use the range.
Nice course, bad staff
The golf course was in very nice shape, and in a great setting. Challenging but not over the top. Suitable for most golfers.
This was our first time on the course, and would recommend it with a qualifier. Our experience was dimmed by the curt, borderline rude marshall, and the very inattentive staff around the bag drop area. I will give it one more try (if I can find a reduced rate), to see if we encountered an "off" day, but my wife will not go back.
Great course worth the drive
The course is in verygood condition and the views of the Verde Valley and surrounding mountains makes it a great place to play, The course is a bit of a challenge for the high handicapper but very enjoyable to play.
Great Place
Everyone we encountered at Tonto Verde was extremely friendly. From the Pro Shop, to the Starter, to the Bartender at the restaurant we found the people helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the complete experience. Originally we planned to golf in town but are thrilled we decided to go to a nicer place such as Tonto Verde. We will go there again.
Excellent Courses. Rude Members
Both courses are consistently in excellent shape. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bad luck comes if you are playing behind a group of members. They DO NOT let you play thru.
The last time I was playing with another player, stuck behind a 4-some after the 9th hole. With nobody in front of them for 4 holes, they refused to allow us to play thru. This is a consistent theme. You should enjoy the course, as long as you can avoid the RUDE Members.
Ranch Course is a fair layout from the White Tees for average players.
Good practice range and chipping area. No refreshment cart during the summer.
Lots of nice features.
I am looking forward to playing it again. This course was challenging and fun to play as it has a nice mix of holes.
This course was fun to play.
I've wanted to play this course for a long time now. It lived up to my expectations. Staff was extremely friendly. Pace of play was great. I went out as a single and kept pace with a twosome in front of me. Only downside there was no beverage cart on the course and it was a hot day. I will be back to play again.
Great value
The course was maintained well. Would play again and would recommend to a friend.
One of the nicest courses in the Phoenix area
I really loved this course. I played it on the last day before they were switching courses, so I think the course I played may have had a few days of neglect. However, it was still in great shape. The views were awesome, and the grounds were immaculate. The staff was extremely friendly and completely accommodating. I had a blast out here. I just wish it wasn't so long of a drive. I'll definitely be back. But I can't give it five stars because, well, the lack of water in the Phoenix area is a tough hurdle to overcome.
This course has amarzing view l love tonto verde.. however,
This course has zmarzing view.... it was awsome... however,
fairway and greens are not good... sometime Even though, this is summer season they need manage... about fairway.... anyway tonto verde golf course was good...
Great value
Very nice greens, one of the best conditions I have played all year
this course has great feature
this course has a lot of sand, be ready to play most of the day in the sand
Course needed some work ..
Some burned out areas . No map of holes was given making it a little difficult to decide how to play the holes . Clubhouse access was after the sixth hole . No cart to provide drinks .This course was somehow rated much higher than it should have been .
Great course
Everything at this course was in great shape, the greens were consistent and some of the best we played, fairways were a little narrow in spots for the novice golfer, and the sand traps were well placed and in great shape.
A bit of a drive from where we lived but worth the drive, we will do this again.
